Banter and Chit-Chat! / Re: I have a serious problem...
« on: March 21, 2015, 04:40:31 PM »
I just bought Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb last night, even though I own both the original PC AND Xbox versions.  I have a sickness.
Damn, this game is amazing. Doubtlessly one of the best on the original Xbox. Though I've heard controls suck in PC version...

As to your question, most of the games I've played before getting them on GOG were borrowed from friends, so I never owned them in physical form. One of the few exceptions here is Heroes of Might and Magic III, which I own in all of its incarnations and editions on different platforms (the only one I don't have in my collection is the money-grabbing "HD" edition by Ubisoft, as I am not willing to support the company).

Well, first of all, you can block YouTube ads in Opera (which is the point of this thread). Secondly, it uses much less RAM than Chrome, which makes it better for slower PCs. The reason Chrome needs so much RAM is because before opening a webpage, it tries to run it in like ten different processes for safety purposes, which is pretty redundant considering everyone these days has an antivirus installed.

The main reason Chrome used to rock was because it exploited a bug in Windows that made it run way faster than any other browser. Since then the said bug has been fixed by Microsoft and Chrome is no longer any better than its counterparts.

Opera. Besides, newer versions of IE are not that bad, really.

Just install AdBlock, it works perfectly for me. Also note that it won't work on websites owned by Google (i.e. YouTube) if you are using Chrome, so that might be a reason for consideration to start using another browser.

P.S. Chrome sucks ass.

By the way, has anyone else noticed that the bit starting at 2:15 sounds a lot like Klorox II from SQ5?

"We are making an adventure game just not one that solely uses the mouse"

Actually, that's exactly what I thought when I've read that "The new King's Quest is not a point and click adventure." - and if you thought that it's going to be a 3D-action game or something like that, then you, sirs, are perverts.
