Are you interested in helping us test Quest For Infamy? We could use some hard-working and discreet members to come and help us hunt for bugs.
If you're interested, send me a message via PM here, or email - blackthorne@infamous-adventures.com

This is for serious inquiries only; we have a proper bug tracking system and software in place, and it will require to keep a log of what you find.
That said, let me know. I could use a few outside eyes and ears.

It was a post like this about SQ2 that got me involved with IA/IQ a few years back. Awesome.

It's true; Chuck jumped in as a tester for Space Quest 2, and worked his way up to being the lead programmer for Quest For Infamy!

Same here, heh. Memories!

For me it was just the opposite. I came on to do artwork, and was forced against my will to endure months of constant beta testing. It has been an unending horror.
-
HAHA. Nice Lamb. Yeah, I came in as a tester and then decided enough was enough. Let me make the bugs instead of find them!
-
SHUT UP, YOU.

So it's true! The programmers really DO purposefully put bugs into their games. I knew it!

Not bugs, just features! It is right under my picture.
-
Hahah, FEATURES GALORE.

You guys crack me up. What kind of "experience" is necessary to be a tester? I'd love to help out and be involved, but I worry that my lack of computer expertise might hinder me a bit--but again, I've never beta-tested a game so I dunno??
You won't hurt my feelings if you say "hell no"... :P
-
Really, all you have to do is play the game - when you notice something that isn't working or is obviously an error, you make a note of it. You really don't have to have any "computer" experience - you just have to be able to play a game A LOT, and be observant. It's actually a lot of repetition.

A LOT of repetition. Over and over. Until your brain turns to mush.
Which reminds me. I gotta stop playing Borderlands and get back to testing Larry before the update goes live.
-
I've been doing it for a short while - just playing the game when I have time and entering bug reports. It's neat to see them get fixed and acknowledged. Then again, I manage a bug report database at my day job, so it's pretty much just an extension of that where I'm not in charge of anything.
-
And not getting paid any of that bothersome money. What a good deal! :)

I break things for free anyway though if I have to work I expect your first born, or a pony.

I just want a pony. Alicorn, preferably. 8)

I'm quite adept at breaking stuff. Let me know if you have something I can break.
-
Beta-testing a.k.a Roehm rubbing "items" on everything in sight until the computer puts a stop to it.
The goal: infinite rubbing without obstacles. I think that's what they call it in the adventure game industry.
So rub one out for the team. The Infamous Quests team.

I'd also work for cinnamon

I'm up for testing, if you still need it. I'm a dedicated pc gamer who loves adventure games, and I'm a programmer myself, so I know how to make bug reports that will not needlessly infuriate your developers :D
