Quest for Infamy / Status of QFI physical rewards

Hello!

It's been a while since we got an update about the Quest for Infamy physical rewards that haven't been shipped out yet and because the last time someone brought it up was left unanswered, I thought I'd make a new dedicated thread about it.

I can't say for certain how many years have passed since I backed this project (at least 5-6), but since I live in Europe, I'm always among the last people to get my goodies when I back projects/order stuff, so in light of that I have two questions:

How many backer rewards are actually left unfulfilled at this point? At earlier times, Steven mentioned shipping them out on a weekly basis and I'm sure the speed has slowed down, but having a more-or-less stable schedule would be really appreciated. I know you said not too long ago on twitter that you want to finish this matter of shipping them out before you move on to newer projects and I believe in you Steven, but I've also reached a point where I'd really love to receive my rewards as I'm starting to worry if I'll ever receive them. :/

And in relation to that, I don't mind being at the back of the list of people who receive their goodies, but assuming you do have some sort of a schedule for shipping this stuff & and an overview of how many packages there are left, when can I expect my package?

I want all of you to succeed, I love the games you've done thus far, but I also want to stop worrying about this matter. :)

Hi, when I start the game, the screen flickers, rendering it unplayable. Is this a known bug? Is there a fix? Thanks in advance.

Windows 10, Version 21H1, Build 19043.1165
Intel(R) Core(TM) i74700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHz 2.40 GHz
Installed RAM 8.00 GB
GPU: Intel HD Graphics 4600

Edit:
Found an easy fix. Good old Windows was mucking it up.

For those experiencing this problem:
Right click the game's desktop shortcut, click Properties, click the Compatibility tab, and click the box that says "Disable fullscreen optimization".


The game looks great - can't wait to play! Thanks to Infamous Quests for making good games in this niche genre.

This is a test message to see if the IQ Forums are back on the air.

For posterity: The forums went down around November 1, 2021.  At that time, it appeared the forums had reset, with the last new message being from August 18, 2021.  I had updated links to new versions of the QFI maps on October 10, 2021, but those changes were no longer showing; only the older versions were present in the forums.  Also, no new messages could be submitted; it was like the forum was frozen as of mid-August.

Later on, sometime in (late?) December, the forum pages were completely gone/inaccessible.

Now, after a few weeks away, I see the forums are back up.  If so, many, many thanks to Blackthorne and Broomie for their Herculean efforts at reviving the forums, which are truly crucial and essential resources for the IQ / IA games and their fans.

Thank you again, and here's hoping we see Roehm make his most triumphant return in "Roehm To Ruin" this year!

Is there a "new" entrance?

The only one I know about is:

"After escaping from the Hunter, if you lick around the screen a few times, you can put your nose to the groundstone to enter the Secret IA Bar... but only if you have a way with words (3 of them, to be precise)."

Hey guys,

Big update as it's been a while! I've been busy doing lots of searching and tracking down long lost mods & scenarios to rescue and upload. I've also added some new search categories of interest to me and made some big changes to existing ones...

- Merged C&C and Red Alert together to save space.
- Merged Doom with Fallout & Mad Max under a new main Apocalypse category to save space & also added new Terminator, Judge Dredd, Zombies, & After WW3 to the Apocalypse category too.
- Added a new Starcraft category and combined it with the existing Warcraft one to save space
- Added a new Lunar/Moon category to the existing Mars Colonization one.
- Added a new Final Fantasy category
- Added a new Civ Crossover category (Mods that make a Civ game look like another Civ game) as I've been finding some good stuff for these and wonder if there's more out there!

Regarding that rescue work keeping me busy I recently started a huge new scenario catalog & rescue project creating proper download pages at CivFanatics (even rescuing lost scenarios that are not part of this search cause I'm nice like that lol), as well as extra scenario download mirror pages on ModDB and Internet Archive Library to ensure they don't get lost again as both those sites are long living & offer free hosting. At the moment I'm setting up Civ2 scenario libraries on these other sites but I look forward to setting up these library file mirrors for other Civ game scenarios in the future. Uploading to these sites is not hard (I've written guides over in my CivFanatics project thread) so hopefully others in the Civ community eventually follow my example and add to all these collections in the future to ensure all these great old pieces of work live on!

- Final Fantasy - Added honourable mention of the Final Fantasy III/VI scenario to the list which has no custom graphics but is the only surviving FF Civ2 scenario!
- MoOrion - Added Jeelen's Master of Orion Jr Remake 4 scenario, & have uploaded its missing file to CFC.
- Apocalypse - Added MichaelDMcCart's Judge Dredd - I am the LAW modpack to the list, & have uploaded its missing file to CFC.
