DONT get risen
or AC4

trust me

if you want for ac4 just get it on sale and note, it require lame uplay, no matter what,
and the game is terrible, like all ubisoft games now,

just stay away or get it really cheap, the ship sailing is the only fun part, and it gets really boring after doing it for 30+ hours just for collectables esp when you have to stop the ship, jump off, get one item and jump back on to do it 200 more times.. lammme

get sid m.  you wont regret that one..

steam just had a pirate week, ..
sale thing..
ac4 was on sale for 12$ but id say find it cheaper and DONT get the DLC at all..

Ye

I know AC has gone balls. I'd only pirate (hur-hur) those games, no thank you to 3rd party DRM. Risen I heard was kinda mediocre too. But I'll give a shot to Sid Meier's Pirates then. It looks really cool and nostalgic, which is the way me likes it. :P

Thanks!

actually that was a nice joke that even went around the ubi office

that they made a pirate game, to be pirated
lol

since ubi is well known for non drm free games that cause huge issues in gameplay when u play legit vs cracked

anyway the game ac4 isnt terrible vs like other games just in terms of ac yea..
last decent ac game was the rev bh 2 trilogy..
AC rev = my fav always  mp too,  ac 2 =2nd fav, bh=3rd fav  ac1 4th  ac4=5th ac3=6th and ac liberation AHH run run= last  bad port from sony handheld, terrible actually

want like natural pirate games?
or do you mind like hybrids?

like SPAZ is a great game its a space sim kinda thing, pirates and zombies  = s and z  Space Pirates and Zombies = SPAZ

Sid Meier's Pirate's = one of the best pirate classics though the cut-scenes suck but hey its about the game not the rendered bad vids :P

risen 2  if you dont mind a broken game, is also a great pirate rpg,
risen 3 RUN RUN RUN away fast, from that game,  risen 1 = risen2 just older gfx
risen 1 works,  risen 2 bug infested and achievement broken
Pirate KART is also fun!
plundered hearts = retro fun!
and i still stick by wing commander privateer as a pirate game and one of the best in the world
there is also one for wii not sure about pc
zak and wiki its called i think.. fun as hell!

sea dogs... urmm
cutthroats ?

let me know what consoles or whatnot u have or what kind o pirate games,
there is also the odd dnd stuff, which not many know about
but i wish someone would remake I adore the world of spelljammer and the ships! imagine if UBI did that one!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spelljammer
here is a ship i wish they would add to include

Hmmh well, I really prefer natural pirate games, I've seen a bit of SPAZ and it looks interesting, but I'm just not too keen on that space theme. If there's some genre that I'm really picky and careful on, it's the space themed ones (or just sci-fi). I've heard that Risen is pretty mediocre and not that special. Although I just said I like natural pirate games, I always love kart games, so I'll have to check out Pirate Kart and plundered hearts (whatever that is :D).

I don't have any consoles besides a psp which has been lost to the depths of my home ( I think) and frankly I prefer keyboard+mouse. I guess I'll have to google those other games that you mentioned, maybe some of them will be to my liking. :D But at the moment, I'm placing my bets on Sid Meier's Pirates.

thats a win win bet right there for sid m

but i cant force ya to like space pirates however, spelljammer , mainly on pnp = pen and paper
but there was a c64 game done rpg style as most of the dnd games were done that era
needing manuals you find a clue it says turn to page 22 read the diary entry etc  fun stuff, things kids lost in this era imo

shrug

spelljammer just rocks look how awesome that ship looks, and if you google spelljammer ships! wowww

i mean,  its not what you think, most lifeforms are NOT HUMAN,
sooo its really interesting!
but thats my view
