Spell component question

How exactly do I gnab one of the pigeons in Tyr for that Cloud spell?

I got a net from Brattle but it didn't do anything when I tried to use it on them.

Do I need to upgrade my stealth to grab one of those guys?

You're on the right track for the spell component, but its not a pigeon you need to find. Look for other birds, especially ones that sit still for longer, and see if you can't knock something loose.

Well I can't get the bird in the thieves' quest it seems.

I'll try Corrigan next, not sure he'll sell me the raven though, heh.

If you are a rogue, no you can't get the component for the spell. Only sorcerers, as far as I can tell.
