Well, we won't be removing stats you can't get to 100 because they may possibly be still needed by other classes. Every class can sneak for example, Rogues can just do it the best. If you try to do the slaver missions and aren't sneaking you'll get caught, that's regardless of class.
We've got a couple of games planned in the series, but QFI was a very time consuming game to make so the next one won't be done this year (at least!)
Thanks for your kind words! It's great to hear good feedback and that you enjoyed the game.
Stats - Well I think that solution just has the same effect as what we did. At the moment there's puzzles that require a skill at 60+ that can't be done by certain classes, the effect is exactly the same as having a requirement of 110+.
Moving away from QFI - It's not our sole focus, like Sierra before us we have a lot of varied interests and just making one style of game over and over would be boring. Keep in mind too that the QFG series came out in a space of 9 years for five games. That doesn't mean we're not interested in working on a sequel! We can't work on too many projects at once, it's just not realistic and we would end up with a group of sub-par games. QFI took us two years to make, with two full time staff and a dozen other people working on it. We can use those same resources and make 3 or 4 games in that time period. Good games, fun games. That could put us in the financial position to be able to focus all our efforts on a new one. Plus, we're doing the prequel Roehm to Ruin at the moment, so there's more QFI goodness right around the corner! (November to be exact!)
Is the world of qfi the world of glory after a catalysm? Where the ones who came before aziza, devon, ad avis and there world? A new middle age?
It's not the world of QFG, for the most fundamental reason in that we don't own the rights to Quest for Glory, Activision do. QFI is it's own self-contained world.
Except there's no lightning spells. :)lol i meant dnd style lol
yes the 3 secret rooms boosted my stats above 100 well above, no masters stuff
and 1 room is pretty fun,
and one room, has mmmmmmm 's nom nom
(odd you didnt find even one of the rooms, at least 1 is able to be found by all classes just you cant do anything unless you are a specific class)
other than Nom nom mmmm
more please?
lol
as for the act 1 achievement, thats odd idk
i usually grinded on all classes to get all skills to 100 before even picking a class,
sadly once you do pick a class all the stats kinda reshuffle sorta reset but not really.
so i do it in prologue usually. not act 1 ! :)
i did think that maybe getting a home with matching furniture n such for the class you become with a few options sounded kinda cool but that sounds a bit like the keep in overlord the game series lolol
Kaldire - I like ya - yer an arse.
HOWEVER I never said I maxed stats in Act 1 - the golden period is the Prologue (Evening before class choosing) and Night (Past class choosing :(... how do I end a parenthesis without a... parenthesis?!?!?!) :)
raner hehe ty
im the bombastic spastic resident here, until the new guy here posts drunk hehe
makes me feel less like im the only one(though i dont drink (only coffee))
problems with maxing before picking a class is , that the code still resets some stats or lowers them vastly
try it out esp sorc gets shafted on most skills even combat
had like 100 on all, went down to wanna say 70 or 60 per stat.. just picking sorc,
same with sneak etc all went down
was worse in 1.0 but still exists in 1.1
dude calm down! ya just posted some of us have.. other stuff to do than just sit in forums, though its odd me saying that if you read all my posts from the old days of this forum hahah
the big chest? you mean where you get the main secret item for rogue?
if its the one im thinking of.. yes it can be opened.
but im not sure if its the one im thinkin o
I'm anxiously awaiting the HintArt Book to see if Blackthorne delves into the backstory / world history of Tarhsein. (hint, HINT).

Seconded
hmm did you pee on it? lol
jk jk
urmm ill have to check that out again
Maybe it cant be done in act one but then again you are not supposed to from what I understand break in to rayfords in act one but The game did not stop me from doing so.
Also in eariler post I did not mean max skill in prolouge but act one, I dont see how anybody could max there skills in the short prologe it dose not seem possoble stabing, slashimg and hacking take many game days.
"Help" in the case of the chest means the Thieves Guild Lockpick Kit. That's all. The rest is skill, which you have to have an abundance of.
And Shawn's right - just that little bit of backstory we have in the companion is all we'll release now; a lot of the information ties into the story of Quest for Infamy II, so I have to save it for that.
Bt
raner
huh?
yes you can break into rayfords.. and the home by the bank and brattles. im lost at what you DID break into, lolol
you dont even need to be a rogue to break into all these places
and urmm again maxing stats in prologue before picking a path isnt wise at this stage, as again stats tend to reset or get wonky donk on ye
as for the bt bar hunt, read carefully the pages that are here in this sites forums about the bt hunt, was fun but hell all in the same bucket hehe more so fun though.
btw if you just stab undead and heal spell as sorc you get points forever as stab only does 1 hp dmg :)
not that it matters as a sorc but.. shrug
sigh roe...
1. we as fans are trying not to blow the hints, i didnt want to say what to do , just that yes you can get in the chest,
2. the hunters thing is NOT a bug!!!
there are just many ways to approach a situation,
many many ways thats kinda one of the things i love about this game,
its like
but thats not a bug either
hope that helps sort some stuff out
;)
anyway
some things you think might be bugs arent, some are. :)
time freeze? what do you mean? there are a few places time doesnt exist in the game as in it wont progress, until something happens

What I put in my above post is everything we're divulging about the backstory of the world at this stage!

urmm...?
10k is pretty easy to get,..
there are a few things to do for brattles :)
as sorc there's got to be some key to getting in. ;)
sorc can rob almost everything, almost..
no need to post it twice in 2 threads mate,
1.0 had many things you could do, that one cant in 1.1
casting unlock or grab item, was just the entire screen not on a fixed point
that was fast as hell to max spells out early on just casting unlock on rayfords door and or just cloud wee that was fun then again,
best way is truly in battle though, esp when using the wrong element on undead hehe takes time but its like stab maxing on the undead .. takes time but no effort, i watched tv and pressed stab 9000 times or so
