Quest for Infamy / Unused items and some questions

I´ve solved the game once as a rogue, am now in my second playthrough as a brigand. But there are quite a few items I have not found a use for yet. Has anyone else?
Seemingly useless items I´ve got: A bee, an owl-feather, a cone, a chain, the holy symbol, the throwing daggers, a plate, various kinds of tobacco

And is there another way of solving the slaver quest other than climbing into his house, attacking his guards from behind and slaughtering him in bed?
What do I have to type at the book in tyr´s library which prompts me to enter something?
What is the pin I have to enter in the bank?

You might want to ask the beekeeper to the east of volksville. She might know what to do to get rid of wasps.

Quest for Infamy / Ability Score Bug

Hello,

I seem to have encountered a new bug - Playing act I as a brigand, I seem to be unable to increase my combat abilities. No matter how many creatures I fight, no combat abilities change, even though they are only at 62 / 35 / 39, / 37 /60 . I´m not sure when it started -  It might have something to do with the Training dummy in the brigand cave. When i clicked there the first few times, I got a message about Training, but no increase. When I click there now, I don´t even get that message.
