Title: Easter eggs, etc.
Post by: garr on July 25, 2014, 10:35:07 AM
If you go through the sewer into the kitchen, did you check the shelf on the left? Roehm's favorite stuff.

At end of credits, before clicking mouse, hit any other keyboard key and a monster growls!

You can actually use that stuff from the kitchen!

There are quite a few other eggs out there.  I am interested in see what else people have found.   :D

If you eat Roehm's favorite stuff, you get some infamy boost.

By the way, has anyone made a map of the south woods?

There's a One Piece Easter Egg if you burn down the tree and inspect it later.

The Narrator calls you "Ace" instead of "ace."

I don't think this constitutes an "Easter egg" really, but did anyone else crack up in the 99 Acres Woods when you examined one of the big rocks?  The one that the Narrator says (sings), "I am a rock.  I am an iiiiiiiiiisland..."

I just found that tonight and I can't quit clicking on it and stupidly laughing.  I must be getting old to even have recognized that song.

Hah, yeah. There's a lot of those little pop-culture references throughout the game. I couldn't even tell you if that was Steve or me on that one, although I would lean towards Steve.

I was listening to Simon and Garfunkel that day!  It's amazing how what you're doing on that day will do that to you.

Other than the library book all the things I thought were eggs turned out to be errors haha... And I still haven't figured out the answer to the book in the library.

My favourite was in one of the houses.

It's log.
It's big, it's heavy, it's wood.

That one was good but the narrator really should have sung the whole song to make it even more epic.  8)

You know I didn't know this was a song. I might have to rerecord it now I know...

Anyone find the strange little easter egg in the library yet? Steve showed me the other day, requires repeatedly clicking on a particular area... Funny story behind it too ;)

Are you referring to the "those who know" book, or is there another?

let the pixel hunt begin!

I like on the sand at the beach, southwoods,
clicking on it says like
"what is this kings quest?!"

as in kq you got to beach, in parser and type dig for clams

did you cats know that the new gold rush revamps team sunlight will be adding a parser interface into the revamp!
ohh i ♥ parser

yea its a headache but it raises reading lvls and minds

my kid hates reading, I had to tell her that games were once ONLY reading and text ( see infocom games)
and I used to live before the internet or a mouse existed

she was in shock for about 2 hours going .. no internet!?!

Is that a Mighty Mouse reference?  I can't find anything related to him in the library, though.

he replied as andy kaufman would sing to the record player (lip sing)
short clip but jim played him in "man in the moon" the movie

Not sure if this mention belongs in the Easter Egg thread, but the spiel Prospero says in the sorcerer initiation when you match the tower cards is a reference to Stephen King's Dark Tower series.

"Do you pursue the man in black to its end?"

id call those references , but some are eggs too that one nah

its like I thought that the beheading was from game of thrones Will being killed for doing the same thing and in the book his head was put on a pike out front for all to see what happens when you abandon the watch

soo many references we prolly need a thread for those too
all 62 doctors is funny,
prolly will be that many one day, hmm numbers again,

btw try talkin to the cats in the store
lol
fun arts there!
