I don't know if it's a "mass mobilisation" of Sierra / Lucas fans as you say. I think it's more than people who support our project, spaceventure, Phoenix Online, Tex Murphy etc are adventure game fans. I mean, I've supported other adventure projects that I thought looked good and to me it's not about mobilising, it's about supporting stuff I love.

As for celebrity endorsement, Scott Murphy is a great guy who is good friends with members of our team. His support through our KS was brilliant and very much appreciated. And I agree, it certainly gave us some good exposure.

There is a cameo in QFI, as you stated though, you'll never hear about it from us until you play the full game.

I can think of many instances in the old Sierra adventures that cameo's from other Sierra games happened. The Two Guys being mentioned in QFG1 helping get rid of the antwerp invasion for example. The Two Guys at the fair ground in Longbow.

If you hadn't pirated Camelot you'd have known the answers were all in the manual. :)

I thought KQ3 and CoC were the two best examples of copy protection being made part of the game well.

I loved it.

I got up at 5:30am to watch it, that in itself is a miracle of biblical proportions.

I think the Artic Monkey's suck, I know this sounds like an old person comment, but I couldn't understand a fucking thing they said. And they hacked and slashed through Come Together. Horrible. Mr Bean was funny, and I don't usually find him funny. Mike Oldfield was good. McCartney was his usual professional self, thought his voice was a bit rough to start but that sorted quickly and man he can work a crowd. Hey Jude, as the biggest selling Beatles single was a solid choice to close out the ceremony. Even an idiot could sing along with the nah-nah-nahs. Also enjoyed the James Bond bit.

David Beckham looked like he swallowed the canary driving the speedboat up the Themes.

I didn't for a minute understand the NHS thing. Felt like a political statement to me which wasn't what it should have been about. I mean, you've got socialised medicine. Big fucking deal. So do a lot of countries, including mine. In fact, it's pretty much only the American's who don't, because they're terrified of any government which they themselves vote in. Weirdos.

Quest for Infamy / Re: Tools being used to make the game

A number of thoughts occur to me.

(1) You don't draw them. You start a computer game company and surround yourself with talented people.

(2) It's called practice numbnuts.

(3) Here are a few good tutorials by artists who have worked with us at IA.  A few of these tutorials are somewhat dated--i.e. the artists are producing work of even higher quality at this point--but these are still quite useful nonetheless, and demonstrate several important techniques for building up a scene from scratch.

If you're trying to hone your digital painting skills making Sierra styled backgrounds, you should take some time to watch these.

Enjoy!

We're happy to give hints, but we're not going to hand hold you through the game.

My first point and click was Kings Quest V.

My first adventure game was Hero's Quest. I loved, and still love, that game to the ends of the earth. I would go as far as saying that it is perfect.

Yeah, $50k doesn't really split 7 ways into full time jobs. Much as we'd love it to.

Hey, glad you're enjoying the demo!

There's no way into the inn, store or tobacco shop yet. They will be open in the full game!
