So yes, I changed it to Jerminator. People called me "Jerm" being my name is Jeremy, so I just made it cooler and called it a day.

Would you say that it was 20% cooler?   8)

Will you try to get Quest for Infamy on Steam Greenlight?

So, this is a "story behind your handle" thread, then, is it?  Sure, I'll bite.

It's no secret that I'm a huge Star Trek fan.  I wear the Trekkie title like a badge of honor.  My favorite series has been Deep Space Nine due to its more..."human" stories.  I love character-driven tales and having a station as a focal point rather than a starship crew helps to bring those people together and show off their strengths and weaknesses more.

Some of the most fun episodes revolved around what had been dubbed by then the "Mirror Universe", where everything was turned upside-down and a darker reflection of the "prime" universe.  Where Vulcans wear goatees and the Klingons have subjugated humanity along with their partners, the Cardassians.  And my favorite character was always the mirror version of Kira Nerys.  But she was known on the station as "The Intendant".

I really enjoyed this twisted image of my favorite Bajoran resistance fighter.  She was a strong woman who knew what she wanted and wasn't afraid to do whatever it took to get it.  Manipulative and charismatic, she played every side against each other.  And she wasn't afraid to use her sexuality to get her way.  Male or female, human or Trill, whether it was Sisko or Ezri or her "other self".  It was always fun to watch her play off of these traits, and with that awesome-looking outfit of hers.

So, when trying to think of a good handle to use for Steam (and consequently used for Twitter and several forums), I instantly thought of her.  I took the handle "Intendant S" to show off this love.  The S, in case you're wondering, is the initial for my first name.   ;)

I can't wait to get my hands on the game, but you guys already know my stance on released-on-time versus delayed-but-polished.

I'm so looking forward to using and abusing all of the backers making cameos.  >:D

In 1990, I was still using my Atari ST.  No DOS, no Windows, just the friendly GUI of the ST.

I think QFI is a scam!  I demand my money back! :P

In all seriousness, though, one thing that I keep telling people is that Kickstarter is an investment and NOT a pre-order.  It seems to me that the most vocal complainers are those who only paid to get the game itself.

I know it's a shameless plug, but you might be interested in reading my own retrospective article on Kickstarter: http://www.kickstartadventure.com/home/the-kickstarter-effect-or-how-i-learned-to-stop-worrying-and-love-crowdfunding/

Great update and, as usual, awesome artwork.  I applaud the whole team for such a great job and I love these little windows into the development process.  I'm so jealous of the skill you guys have and I can't wait to see more.

As someone who's tested the game extensively, I don't think you'll be disappointed.  Try to find all of the easter eggs.  Some of them are pretty damn cool.

I may not be on the team like the others who already posted, but I have to say that your words hit home.  QFI is shaping up to be a real gem and I'm so glad to be a backer and to see some of the development.  You'll definitely not be disappointed.  I can't wait to get my hands on the beta and test the hell out of it.  The artwork is marvelously retro and if you didn't know the people behind it, you WOULD swear that an ex-Sierra employee was working on it.  And BT has some great wit about him and I expect nothing but epic writing throughout the finished product.

Hmm...It's telling me I already own all the games.  Weird.

I hope so. Incidentally, I implemented your portrait into the game this past week.  Looks good - I hope you like it, and your character.

This is so exciting.  I can't wait to use and abuse all the backers.  MWAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!

Currently Kickstarting: Alum by Micah Orsie
"There have already been a number of retro Sierra- and Lucasarts-style adventure games Kickstarted over the past year, so why not add another one to the list? Micah Orsie and the people at Crashable Studios has just gone live with a classic point-and-click adventure game called Alum. You play as the titular character as he goes on a quest to find the cure to an epidemic dubbed “the vague” that has befallen the people of his city of Cosmos."

Awesome!  I've got to check out that site.  There's plenty of old adventures that I never got the chance to play that haven't been released on Steam or GoG yet.

I've been spending a lot of time lately in the beta for Leisure Suit Larry: Reloaded making sure that it'll be as bug free as possible when it releases.
