Mine isn't terribly exciting, really. I go by both Corrigan and Estirdalin, the latter is in use more these days since it's less common so easier to claim the name on most sites.  They were both originally names for my WoW characters, Corrigan being an old myth about druids who used to steal babies and replace them with changelings (for my druid character, naturally) and Estirdalin was one of the Balmorra mages guild members in Morrowind, arguably my favourite game, or at least top 5.  I have always preferred casters in games where fantasy and escapism is part of the charm....I could go swing a sword at someone right now if I really wanted to (and didn't mind getting arrested) but I've yet to master fireballs and arcane explosions :p

Aww, you wee sweetie :)  I think you always sound intelligent regardless, Sarah, (and always so kind) so I wouldn't worry!  I stumble upon solutions to problems in my paintings a lot of the time because I've not been at it long enough to be really insightful/intuitive about things I've never painted before.  Now I can add ocean and barrels to my list though, so I'm calling it a success!

Thanks for your kind words, man, really glad you have enjoyed it so far and looking forward to being able to show people what else we've been working on!

As for the portraits, with the Udo being the first character with a portrait that we meet, I can see how people would be like, woah, too much!  He's intentionally very flamboyant as you say, and it has a lot to do with his backstory and where he's from, but hopefully once people have explored around and met a few more "normal" people they'll realise he's an exception! :)

To clarify a bit on what Shawn said about the background art:  The outside of the inn was painted by Jeremy, he also sketched the interior for that and the fisherman's cabin too, although Fizzii painted up the inn interior, and Ivan painted up the cabin.  They have done some beautiful and genuinely astounding work since they joined the team, all the artists have, and it's been a real pleasure to watch the areas come to life. I'm glad you agree!

I don't think it's the public so much as Sony that have forced their hand.  If they had no major competitor, sure folk could bitch and moan, but they'd still buy it regardless.  Sony has essentially undercut them in terms of price and policies the consumer wants.  It's not like MS didn't know before they announced all those shite ideas that the public would hate them, they were just taking a gamble that it would be worth it and it didn't pay off.

I read a lot when I was younger, but find little time for it these days, as I'm sure most of my colleagues will agree!

Of the classics, I particularly like Dickens and Hardy, but I lean more towards old school science fiction, I think I've read almost every book by John Wyndham.  Huge fan of dystopian novels like 1984, Brave New World, When the Sleeper Wakes etc. etc.  Other writers I enjoy are: Lovecraft, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Tolkien, Ian Banks, Carl Hiaasen, Christopher Brookmyre, Alessandro Baricco and Milan Kundera.

Just picked up my degree classification grade....I got a first!  Waaah, so happy :)  Can't celebrate yet because I have a bunch of work to do to get the class' files ready for the interactive displays at the degree show, but I am certainly breathing more easily now :)  Thanks for all the support and well wishes, you guys are awesome x

Haha, thank you very much Sarah!  I hope all these preemptive congratulations don't come back to bite me in the ass ;)  Off to my presentation this morning, then I just need to fix the final touches on my film and prepare the studio for the degree show....and wait for my results!  I think my sigh of relief is a couple of weeks off yet :)

Thank you, it's in Animation!  I already have a 2 year qualification in Illustration, but it's not a degree. :)

Thank you all so much for your support these past few months, and this past year!  It's been a bigger help than you know.  Good luck to you, too, Slash, I hope the exams go ok!  Looking forward to giving QFI my full attention again when this is over and creating some kickass portraits of some of our lovely backers! :) x

Little Jenny Pattison is about to venture out into the big bad world as a graduate (and a tax payer, boo), as long as these next few days of marking go ok!  Please keep all your digits crossed for me, I'm a bundle of nerves!  When the films are up online for the public to see, I'll post links for those interested.
