The tales of H.P. Lovecraft are timeless for those who enjoy a good horror story. And with good reason. His stories have inspired generations that have come after him just as Edgar Allan Poe had influenced his writing. Delving into many aspects of what makes a person lose their mind and drawing from their deepest, darkest fears is what brings people back to classics like the Cthulhu Mythos. And the latest game to tackle these themes is The Eldritch Cases: Dagon, an adventure game that sets its sights on one of the most iconic villages ever put to pen by the seminal author.

Banter and Chit-Chat! / Kickstart Ventures Games Library Updated!
« on: April 13, 2014, 03:38:57 PM »
Okay so today is the day! We're ready to release the game library to the public! The game library is an index of crowd funded adventure and RPG games we've come across since KickstartVentures started. We hope this allows you to either discover something new or get updates on a project you may have backed or known about anyway.

The listing of games gives you the option to filter via release status and genre as well as searching for a specific game. Each game includes release platforms, screenshots, release dates, trailers and more. You'll be sure to discover something new looking through our database.

So check out the link below and let us know what you think. And as always we welcome all feedback, suggestions and more. Like any newly released product, we will intend to improve and enhance it as time goes by and we already have some great ideas in the pipeline. If you think we're missing a game too we have a submit page you can check out to let us know.

Hope you find this useful. If you could share this to as many people as you can we would appreciate that a lot.

“In 1945 a group of captured soldiers were placed in a POW camp and told they would never escape. Using their specialist skills, these man promptly devised a plan to attempt their most daring breakout yet.”

So if you can steal enough supplies,
and sneak past the guards,
and if you can get over the fence…

maybe you’re ready for…

Dystopian and post-apocalyptic titles are pretty commonplace in media in any form, and with good reason. It takes a bleak look at what the future could hold for humanity should it ever stray towards the path of self-destruction. A warning letter to future generations to get their act together, if you will. And to stand out in the crowd you’d need to have some something unique to get people to take notice of it. Dead Syncrhonicity promises the standard trope and more. With a twist unlike any other that’s come before it.

Good luck with them getting their money back. Kickstarter won't do shit about it (I tried that with a project and they said "Sorry, can't do anything. Talk to the project creator.") and I doubt the Occulus peeps would graciously give it back.

That said, I feel the same way for the VR headset as I do about the Ouya. Gimmicky and niche. Not for me.

I can't speak for the company as a whole, but as a member of the social media team I can tell you that part of it is doing PR, marketing, and media work. Basically, it's pushing the product.

The onklunk of torment....

Sent from my SGH-I747M using Tapatalk

This onklunk doesn't happen to have a roll of secret microfiche hidden in it and is owned by a certain Dr. Nonookee, does it?

Cowboys and Engines is a cool looking take on the genre. I backed their Kickstarter:

And, of course, I'm a big fan of the comic Girl Genius: (I'm quite a bit behind on that one, though).

But, I can't really give a long list of steampunk titles, though.

Okay, maybe it's not as rare as I make it out to be, but I still love to see anything 'punk (cyber or steam) released.

It got funded quicker than I expected. Like 5 hours from launch...  :o

Maybe we'll re-use it in a Serena-centric episodic QFI spin-off: Tales of Infamy: Paladins Gone Wild.

I'd actually love to see that. ;D

Love the avatar Serena!   ;)

Why thank you. I have it on good authority that you might see it in some sort of adventurey-type game.  ;D

Very well-written. I loved reading it.
