Post by: Broomie on June 14, 2014, 10:41:19 AM
Phoenix Online, the company publishing Quest for Infamy has a blog that features development updates, interviews, videos and more for our soon to be released RPG adventure. There are some great updates and some interesting feature articles on what to expect in the game. Here's an exclusive video that showcases the sheer size and world of Quest for Infamy.

“Never forget that anticipation is an important part of life.  Work's important, family's important, but without excitement, you have nothing. You're cheating yourself if you refuse to enjoy what's coming.”
  - Nicholas Sparks.

This does a dandy job of summing up me with this game.

I, for one, am tired of seeing all of these glowing preview articles from other reviewers that you people keep posting here and on Twitter and Facebook:

"It's great!"
"Wonderfully retro!"
"Real old school feel!"
"It's terrific!"
"Can't wait for its release!"
...blah blah blah...

Ugh.  We GET IT.  QUEST FOR INFAMY IS AN AWESOME GAME.

Enough to makes one quite sick, really...

You could always read this one...

but even then, we got a C+.  If that is the worst we see, I'll be happy.

Heh.  The author was very nice when she responded to my comment that I left on it - sometimes, you just have to talk to people about things.  It's very easy to assume things before you know or talk to someone.

No doubt Steve.  She said she would like to give it another shot.  But like I said, if that is the worst review we see, that will be pretty damn good.  She seemed to be annoyed with adventure gaming 101, which is to pick up anything not nailed to the floor.  :)

Agreed.  She seemed very frustrated with the mechanics and the anachronistic/pop-culture humor, which were all hallmarks of the better Sierra games...

(The hallmarks being the mechanics & humor, not frustration, that is.)

What the hell does this reviewer know about classic games?  The QFI is all about retro style gaming. Yes perhaps the ladies are a bit scantly clad, but the games humor, gameplay, and graphics are all about 90's adventure games.  Miss Priss wouldnt object if Roehm ran around without a shirt I wager.  Besides I am sure there are plenty of girls who will love this game! :)
