The Library of Tyr
« on: February 12, 2013, 07:51:36 AM »
We're pleased to welcome Daniel Thomas, award winning artist and creator of The Journey of Iesir, to our team.  Daniel will be helping us with backgrounds - here is some of his work in the Port City of Tyr.  This is the "Great Library of Tyr" a vast building which holds many, many tomes of knowledge.  On the left is the production sketch by Jeremy Kitchen, and on the right is Daniel's finished version.  He's bringing a real sense of epic scale to the city, which will be a treat for you players!  Enjoy!

The columns and statue evoke a "Grand Roman Republic" feel!  Very impressive.  I can't wait to go inside and explore!  It'll be enormously satisfying to go in and discover some familiar names written in there  :)

Anyone else remember our discussion on the possibility of a library in this game, so glad that it is confirmed. Looks awesome and I hope it is just as massive on the inside

Neat, though I'm worried now that there's going to be some evil book in there trying to capture my soul - wouldn't mind too much being stuck in a good book though.
