That's awesome Matt, look forward to it. :) Yep, it's this weekend so do check this website for more details. We should be getting there about 12ish on the Saturday and bit earlier on the Sunday. We'll have a booth, there will be some merch to win and give out and you'll get a chance to play the new QFI demo before it's released. And on Sunday, I'll be talking about the history of QFI, going 10 years back when it was a highly ambitious fangame so be good for you to join us. Remember, it's a free event so all you have to do is arrange your journey.

Matthew Oates will also be there, known as Doomrat on the forums. He's one of our artists and designed the new QFI logo too.

So if you're able to make it to London on the 15th and 16th then that would be sweet. We'll have a beer afterwards too.

I've yet to see Red Dwarf X but didn't think much of the 'Red Dwarf: Back to Earth' mini series before this one. Heard good things about X though. They've only got the first and 6th episode available to watch on demand at the moment which is a bit annoying so I'll wait until every episode is available on demand or on Netflix.

And I love Simon the Sorcerer 1 and 2. Chris Barrie is great in the first one, makes me want to play it again now. I gotta say the second one made me laugh out loud on numerous occasions too. Love the dry wit and humour of the writing.

I tried the 3D one, it was shocking. And don't get me started on the 4th one with American Simon. Haven't played it but not sure I want to.

Excuse yourself for being a non-Brit. ;) It's a spread of yeast extract which is popular in the UK. It tastes a lot better then it sounds but it is very sweet, quite beefy and salty brown syrup. It goes great when mixed with butter too. It's whole marketing campaign is based off the deciding factor that you'll either love it or hate it. I know a lot of people who love it, and a lot of people (Blackthorne) who hate it.

That doesn't sounds creepy at all.

Haha, now I re-read it, it does sound like I'm suggesting doing something other than eating it.  I don't like marmite quite THAT much.

Really? I was going to re-enact what that guy did in that Marmtie vs Vegemite video we watched. ;)

IQ Chat / IQ will be at Adventure-X 2012!
« on: September 16, 2012, 11:16:24 AM »

Infamous Quests will be at Adventure-X 2012 on 15th - 16th December in London, UK. We'll have a booth set up and you'll be able to play the latest Quest for Infamy demo, ask us any questions and we might even have some awesome merchandise up for grabs too!

Last year we went to the very first Adventure-X, held in a quaint pub house near Oxford on a cold December weekend. It was a good turn out, met a bunch of very talented developers and enthusiastic gamers and saw some great presentations and game previews. The event showed a lot of promise and it's great to know that Adventure X will be returning again this year. It's going to be bigger, better and held in London this time around - and we'll be there too!

Adventure-X is still a new concept and the previous year showed a lot of potential to finally be the convention for adventure gamers alike. Unlike other conventions, Adventure X doesn't have the backing of sponsors, big publishers or some kind of rich oil tycoon. Just like the recent surge of adventure games, Adventure X needs YOU to make it happen.

A crowd funding page has been set up on IndieGoGo and the event is asking for a rather modest $2,200 to fund the event. Once funded, it will be free entry and easy to get to for our UK and European adventure gamers and be an exciting opportunity to meet other adventure gamers and developers alike.

And it's not just Quest for Infamy that will be in attendance, you'll also be able to meet Dave Gilbert from Wadjet Eye Games, the team that developed the fantastic Resonance and Gemini Rue and also see the latest from Heroine's Quest by Crystal Shard (developers of A Tale of Two Kingdoms). There are still plenty of guests yet to be confirmed so keep checking the page for updates of who will be in attendance.

So if you love adventure games, you're free and able to get to London on the 15th and 16th December then drop by and check it out. And if you're feeling very generous, please pledge and make Adventure-X the adventure gaming convention we've always hoped for. Let's make this happen!

Check out the Adventure X page on IndieGoGo for more information and to pledge. Don't forget to like them on Facebook too!

Haha, very awesome.

Really appreciate you taking the time to spread the word about Quest for Infamy. Maybe next year you could dye your hair and beard brown and go as Roehm. ;)

Me in Quest for Glory 2 VGA. ;)

As for classic adventure games, Manny Calevera in Curse of Monkey Island and Earl from Dinosaurs in QFG1VGA. (presuming he wasn't in the original one)

And I always liked the GTA4 cameos including Ricky Gervais and Frankie Boyle.

I've put it in just to try it out and looks alright. I'll see how it works out but I doubt we'll have many issues with it with the limit pipped at 30.

I can add it so the limit of pages is 30 for example and then any more pages after that the 'all' function is disabled. Lupin's right having a thread exceed 100 pages and viewing all posts in one page can be a bit straining for the user and mostly for our database tables so not a good idea to use it without a limit. Stopping it at 20 or 30 is possible though so I'll look into it.

Ha, yeah don't think I've ever used that phrase either. We British do have a habit of just using odd phrases though, if you catch my drift.
