The discussion on female-focused lines in the game got me thinking. We were given artwork of beautiful, scantily-clad women (who were still realistic), but the only shirtless guys in the game were the crazy Morroi flagellants. Did I miss some non-crazy shirtless guys? Can I request some for the next game?
I finally put my incomplete infamy point list on the wiki. Please continue to update it. If someone's got a better idea for the format, please be my guest and change it. Layout is not one of my strong points!
I haven't seen this one posted anywhere yet. I decided to let Roehm sleep outside near Swart's camp, and I get a message that I'm attacked while asleep. The battle screen comes up, but there's no enemy shown. If I do something, the game crashes out with this message:
in "room299.asc", line 598
Error: AnimateCharacter: invalid loop number specified
If I just sit there and wait, I get this instead:
in "combat.asc", line 200 from "room299.asc", line 425
Error: AnimateCharacter: invalid loop number specified
It seems to be the same error, though. I'm attaching a saved game called "stuff". Because being attacked during sleep seems to be random, you may have to restore and sleep a few times before the attack kicks in.
I've played through as the sorcerer, and I never found where the take inanimate object spell was supposed to be used. Every time I cast it, the narrator told me there wasn't anything I even wanted. There's only one screen I encountered where I got a message about something being attached, and that was it. (I never figured out what that item was, though). Does someone have a hint for what I missed?
I've now finished playing through the game with all three classes, although it's clear that there are things I still haven't found. Thank you so much for making such a wonderful world for me to explore! I kept some notes of minor typos and bugs I found while playing. Instead of putting each in a separate topic, I'm just going to list them below.
Playing as a brigand, I encountered a problem when sending Roehm to attack the skeletons that start flat on the ground. This is the error I get:
An error has occurred. Please contact the game author for support, as this is likely to be a scripting error and not a bug in AGS. (ACI version 3.3.0.1160)
in "RandomCombat.asc", line 717 from "GlobalScript.asc", line 6886
Error: Character.Loop: invalid loop number for this view
I don't have any difficulty if I just let the skeleton attack me, or if I leave the screen.
I'm attaching a saved game at the point where this occurs. To trigger the bug, attack the skeleton. If I've attached the correct file, it'll be called "death by skeleton".
This problem occurs with the steam version of the game in both windows and linux.
At the end of day 2 when it turns to dusk, you're automatically taken to the Volkville town square for the magician's act. If I'm in the middle of playing the archery minigame, I'm taken out of the game at dusk, but the notification area at the bottom showing the current score doesn't go away. It stays throughout the magician sequence, including the battle. Because the battle icons can't be pressed (they're masked by the archery score banner), I have to lose the battle. It's not a game stopper because I can just avoid being in the archery minigame on day 2 before dusk, but there may be other instances when that banner doesn't go away which I haven't encountered.
