Banter and Chit-Chat! / Re: The Kickstarter Blues
« on: August 30, 2012, 06:54:32 PM »
The few KSers i have supported are only the ones i have confidence that will make a unique and special game.  Helping out indie devs is all well and good but what pisses me off are those who a. are millionaires already and want the poor folks money and b. some KS really have no set plan to make the game.  They just say "give us the money and we will make a game."  I supported folks like the Two Guys, Jane Jenson, Replay, and most importantly Infamous Quests because i Know they will make unique and special old school adventure games. :)

Rewards for KS is cool but as a have said in the past i rather see my money go to make a special game.

The biggest KS i have seen is a company that is building a watch that is bluetooth comp will your smartphone.  Pretty neat idea. However it gonna cost like 200 bucks, don't know if i can justify spending that kind of money for a neat watch.

Exactly Nidoking. :)  Plus it sounds like something Roehm would do as a "infamous" character, since he has questionable morals and ethics.

303
Ok here is an idea for QFI.  Since Mr. Roehm is an infamous dude he should have a quest like this:  Instead of rescueing a damsel in distress, he should kidnap and feed the damsel to the beast or dragon.  Half-way thru he changes his mind and "rescues" her. Or not.  He could then make it look like that asshole Rayford set it up and be a "hero".  Maybe Kit could be the damsel or Rayford's wife. ;)

Heh.  Thanks, Nidoking.  I know our art team takes a lot of pride in what they do.

Yep.  Some days it's all the rest of the team can do to stand us!  What with us walking around in our black greaser jackets, constantly puffing out our chests and reapplying our pomade.
Oh yeah, what do the music and programmers think of you slick guys? :)  And BT please release Demo 2.0 ASAP! Sooner rather than later. My GF and family will thank-You. ;D

Yes, Lambonius i at least know you are an art person and have no idea of BT's inner workings for the game. Art is good as i don't want a text adventure game.  QFI has to have pictures, graphics, puzzles and great game play.  Not the old, "you see a door in front of you."   :)

306
Yup. Us fans of QFI are all awesome with great ideas for the game!  So make us a fantastic game BT and company! :)  Also release the Demo 2.0 pretty please with sugar on top! LOL.

307
I know IQ's next game could be "Stoners Quest: Roehm's search for Weed".  He plays a Weed smoking LSD tripping hippy that lsitens to Gratefull Dead music. :) LOL.  Just kidding folks, but i think its a cool idea for a game.

308
Perhaps as a Bard Roehm could "make" his own lute as a quest in the game. :) A hidden class in the game would be very cool but needs more substance then the paladin of QFG. As stated above he (the bard) needs to be snarky, cunning, charming and be a master of instruments. (like the guitar so ge could be a master of puppets! ;))

The vast, ancient, mind terror of not getting any updates or Demo 2.0 is what is devouring my soul! Lol. :)  Chadly.

I was trying to tell one of the posters his idea to forward my ideas to nidoking  for inclusion into QFI and he (nidoking) receive credit was a terrible idea in a humorous way.  I have heard British folks say "Piss off", maybe i should have said that. :)

Just a simple question.  If i want to submit an idea or two, will you not even read it? Do i make a thread "suggestions for the game?" Should i P.M. to someone at I.Q.?  Even tho the T&C of this website says "we do not take suggestions and all posts become property of I.Q." How does one make a suggestion in general terms?  If i give an idea and it is used "as is", or modified and becomes implemented into QFI, well that would make me very pleased and i would'nt want money or even recognized.  Should i keep my ideas to myself??  Please make more clear to me the rules.  Thanks Chadly.

What and let nidoking "Super KS backer" take credit for my awesome and nifty ideas??? Piss on that as the British would say. lol. :)  Well on second thought maybe i will send Nidoking my ideas and suggestions for the game, so when and if they get used, i can smile to myself and feel all special that it was orginally my idea!  I might not get any credit, but i will know the truth!  (no flame or trolling intended here, just some humor and fun so don't get mad Nidoking. Christ  i don't need to be banned.) :) :D ;)

No, not 1/3, but it is a pretty good chunk of the money raised.  We're doing well, budget wise.

Well fantastic! Glad to hear it!  Just so the KS's pledges aren't being spent on strippers, beer, and other frivolous things! And if they are why hell wasn't i invited?! LOL. ;D
