Bug : Skill ups no longer displaying via banner message

I was rapidly increasing my climbing skill outside the mayor's house. As usual, the +1 climbing skill banner indicated I had skilled up, but in my rapid clicking, the banner did not stop and dip back to the right side of the screen.


Instead, it continued all the way off to the left side of the screen. Since then, I no longer am greeted with any skill up messages.


Saving / reloading don't appear to fix the issue (although I figure if I reloaded save from before the banner message went rogue it would start working).


I have a sneaky suspicion that banner message is still heading to the left and will continue heading off into -infinity.

im guessing you are a rogue, as sorc cant get climbing up..

as for the banner going all the way, ive never seen that.. but interesting..
what filters and res do you use in setup, just curious

I believe this results in a fullscreen mode with 1600x1200 resolution. And you are correct, I am a rogue.

Edit: Forgot to mention that it was the Mayor's house in Tyr (using the vines)

and yea sad but it will be fixed in the update about the skills for sorc not being able to go to 100 on climb and sneak and thieving as you cant get that achievement as sorc not sure how to get that truly since each line has a skill they wont use, shrug, anyway i dont have my rogue saves up but I backed em up
try a res thats more like 640x480 just real fast, see if the problem persists, and maybe try NO filter for just a test (seemed to fix another guys gfx issues sooo never know!)

EDIT: just so you know raising the res wont improve the games visuals, just makes the window of the game the same size as windows, the game wont ever run in anything higher than it was coded for.



I run just 2x filter and even that is double the games standard I believe

That was indeed a bug, and we have it fixed for the update when it gets released.
