Banter and Chit-Chat! / Best free games to play online?
« on: April 18, 2015, 06:45:17 PM »
So what are the best free games you can play online?  By free I don't pirated (that technically includes EVERY game :P) but games that were made for non-profit.

2. BEN JORDAN SERIES (The 4th one especially!)

Quest for Infamy / Roehm's childhood?
« on: April 18, 2015, 03:08:22 PM »
So what exactly was Roehm like as kid?  What was his family life like?  What did his parents do and what was his hometown like?

I mean, what turned Roehm into Roehm?  It's been forever since I played this game but it seems like he probably had a tough childhood to make him into such a rough guy.

He has some moral values and beliefs even if he's no saint (I remember the "is Roehm chaotic neutral" topic that delves into this) so it's unlikely his background was some pure psychopathic horror story like The Shining.

Hey despite my, uh, "interesting" persona I've crafted here, that was mainly to try and score some laughs and part of it was to try and keep with the idea of going on a quest to be be infamous.

Anyway, my blog's an anti-bullying one dealing with bullying it all its forms.  It should tie into my book I'm working on.  Please feel free to read it if you get a chance! :)

I'd love to see this game get some epic voice acting, not to mention a vocalized MC Hammer song at the club! :)

I predict that....

1. The game will be awesome.

2. It'll have an improved combat system.

3. Richard Cobbett will write a dickish review completely dumping on it and telling people to go play Heroine's Quest or Persona 4 Golden on PS TV instead.

4. ???

Sorry for late reply, I was away for a while.

@Bad2DaBone  I don't know what your laws are in whichever country you hail from, but I'm assuming you won't get sent to prison for stealing a loaf of bread. Once again, you seem to be completely ignoring that I said they don't deserve to be used like that (or atleast most) by hundreds of guys. Never did I say that it wasn't a big deal, you are making up words and putting them into my mouth.  ???

Also, not everyone knows to expect to be used as a sex slave by over 100 dudes just for breaking the law.

Are you a bit overly-defensive because you know someone who has had it like that?
And I don't know what criminals expect prison life to be, frankly I don't see why it should matter to me. So my POV stands. If you break the law, go in for it and face a bunch of guys who want to have a go, you have only yourself to blame for the crime you commited and for ending up in such a situation because of it.

All I'm saying is that prisons should at LEAST protect inmates from being raped by men who have any number of stds ranging from gonorhea to aids.

For some reason a lot of folks think that's like putting them in 5-star hotels.  I actually think that it's a big deal and we should try to prevent 16 year old boys locked up with 40-year old men from being raped by them whereas you don't think it's a big deal, and that we as a society should do something about it instead of saying, "well, they broke the law so who gives a crap about them?"  America has insanely high recidivism rates because what goes in prison drives everyone insane in the brain, our prisons don't really reform anybody.

"@Bad2DaBone I didn't mean that convicts deserve to be raped by 100 guys. I just think that if it happens, too bad, but you knew that MIGHT happen to you inside. It's easily avoidable by doing what @Klytos suggested and if it's a case like Kaldires, then life is showing you the middle finger for whatever reason. :/"

"Too bad?"  So basically being gangraped and used as a sex slave by 100 giant nasty dudes for getting in trouble with the law is no big deal and the equivalent of having a vending machine cheat you out of a few quarters?

Also, not everyone knows to expect to be used as a sex slave by over 100 dudes just for breaking the law.

Call me crazy or a wild, free-thinker but I don't think ANYONE deserves to be gang-raped and used as a sex slave by 100+ giant nasty dudes in prison regardless of what laws they may have broken.  :P

Damn, don't know what to say.  Rest in peace. :(

Any true Sierra fan owes it to themselves to play this game, Richard Cobbelpott's obnoxious, overly-pretentious review of it be damned.

Oh hey, I'll try to be a bit nicer, heh.

As for the Bioshock review.... I think "automatic good reviews" are probably more common for the big famous games where companies pour in tons of advertising money.  Honestly, is guilty of the same thing as well sometimes.

However, less famous games and companies have zero influence behind the scenes, so they're easier to attack.  Also, throwing in some negative reviews on certain games can be used as proof that the big reviewers don't automatically like everything.

The man is just entirely too nitpicky for my own tastes.

He kinda does remind me of Zac Bertschy.

I'm not sure how to best describe but it's like being the artsy-fartsy writer-critic equivalent of Kanye West, a guy who just got high off his own fumes.  KW and ZB were both really good in their oldschool days (Kanye was a true genius) but kinda just got worse over time.  I'm not really sure how writers like that wind up in such high and lofty positions.
