Title: [Rogue] where do I build climbing skills?

Also - another question.
My climbing skills have peaked at about 36 from climbing trees. The easier trees and the more difficult ones. No matter how much I try to build that skill up now to

get into the mayor's house

it's not getting anywhere from climbing trees! Is there somewhere else I'm missing where I can go and build my climbing skills? Cheers

You should be able to build up climbing quite a bit further by

attempting to climb the vines outside the mayor's house.

  There's also an alternate method for

getting up to that interior balcony that doesn't require a high climbing skill.  You'll need to get your hands on some oil, and then go from there.  For that matter, you'll probably want to make sure you have some oil in your inventory before attempting ANY burglaries.  It comes in quite handy for the rogue.

Oh yeah! I played enough Qfg in my day, I have the oil that I've been

using on squeaky doors and hinges

but didn't realise I could use it in the mayor's house. I've been in already in the night and the prompts seemed to suggest the 'other way' was the climb, but I will try get up the stairs from the inside. Thank you!

I found that climbing the balcony of the slaver with the climbing rope, before I got the quest to do so, was infinitely repeatable and allowed me to level climbing quickly.  FYI You can also try to pick the lock on the door east of the tower bridge as fast as you can click or what seems the forever as well.
