Well, there WAS a reason it wasn't on GoG as we both know... :)

It's not considered "old" enough to be a "Good OLD Game"?...   ;D

IQ has recently said they want to start voice recording in late January 2019.  Not sure how long that will take to get implemented.

My memories also include a Color Computer 3 (TRS-80 equivalent), which I still have. I also still have all the floppies, cassettes, and cartridges for it. Poltergeist is one of them. I remember the game vividly, too. I was always confused about what to do. It never made any sense to me so I never played it. I still don't know what the graphics are supposed to represent to this day.

We had a Color Computer 1 from the early '80s until we finally got our first PC Clone in 1989.  Sadly, we sold it and all of the accessories (printer, disk drive, cassette drive, ROM packs) to someone my dad worked with.

They had some great "knock-off" arcade games for that machine, especially one for Donkey Kong.  The game came on cassette, so to make < ahem > a "back-up" copy, you put it in a dual-cassette deck and recorded the audio data "screeches" to a new cassette.

My uncle had an original Color Computer with 4k of RAM...  I remember he was so happy when he got a new chip to upgrade it to 16k RAM -- he had to de-solder and remove the old chip, then solder in the new one.

Don't you DARE say a darn thing about trying to catch a ball -- which is attached to a string, which is attached to a stick -- in a cup -- which ALSO happens to be attached to said stick...

Them's fightin' words!   >:(

Hah, I didn't realize you made the mock up.  I know somebody actually DID go back and make an alternate Pac Man using the 2600 hardware.  It's more like the arcade.

Yes, I remember seeing a homebrew version more faithful to the arcade, but despite the OVERWHLEMING flaws, I think the original does have a certain charm...

(Since we had the Intellivision, we never had much access to the 2600; the only time we got to play it was at friends' houses, parents' friends' houses, or the display model at local electronics/department stores...)

Hah, that's not even the version of Pac Man we all grew up with on the 2600.  It was like this - the maze was different than the arcade version; the "tunnels" were on the top and bottom, instead of the sides!

Oh, yes; I'm well aware of the actual debacle...   ;)

Over the last few years, however, I wondered what the Arcade Game would look like using the Atari 2600 graphics.  So, I made this mock-up over the last day or two!   :D

...Pac-Man on the Atari 2600 looking all that bad.

Must be the rose-colored glasses of my old age!

The only game of theirs I was interested in was Back To The Future.  Bought the DVD version when it came out, and finally got around to playing it a little over 2 years ago...

Got stuck in the first episode trying to break old Doc out of jail -- terrible controls, and I couldn't figure out how to get the thug behind the counter in the... soup kitchen(?), I think... to leave -- and haven't touched it since...

...Except just now to view the last autosave to see exactly how long ago I stopped playing it.

A shame, too.  I liked the premise, AJ's performance of Marty was quite convincing, and the recreation of the movie events at the beginning was terrific...

I hope it works. I've been hoping for QfI2 because the first part has quite an open ending.

It's not official / cannon, but...

Three-and-a-half years ago, I made a joke in another IQ thread that there was a "special" ending to QFI which gave a preview of QFI2.  I even provided a summary for everyone who couldn't find it in the game -- which was everyone, because it's not there.  It was all just nonsense I made up to tease my fellow QFI fans.

I still believe it has the feel of how a QFI2 sequel might start...

...the only people who got those were making way too much noise about their games. With the exception of Phoenix Online and The Silver Lining, where I think that was more a rabid and loud number of their fans were making way too much noise.

Sounds like it's a good thing that IA/IQ fans are more of the "sedated and mute" variety...

Hell, some might even go as far to say that IA/IQ fans are practically non-existent !!!

aha!  I've played The Order of the Thorne.  I hope that they will come out with another one once Roehme to Ruin is complete when Bt is better.

Yes, the plan is to finish the story with the second game, The Order Of The Thorne: Fortress Of Fire:

In the Land of Sunlight, the sudden appearance of a mysterious, menacing fortress plunges the isolated kingdom into darkness.  Brother Caradoc, a Knight in the Order Of The Thorne, and his squire, Patrick, are sent to find Brother Eoin and discover the cause of the chaos.  However, upon their arrival in the desolate land, Brother Caradoc is captured and Patrick is wounded.  Alone and untested, the young squire must now rescue Caradoc and defeat the Fortress of Fire.

I really want to see Kingdom of Sorrow.  Is there a download link for that anywhere for those of us who want to play it?    I think that it was unfinished, but it would still be neat-o to see what was developed.

Klytos specifically referenced the "never-going-to-be-released Kingdom of Sorrow" build, so I'm pretty sure that KOS won't ever be released...  Besides, most of the art assets were re-used for The Order Of the Thorne: The King's Challenge.

Likely, Klytos or someone will simply showcase a quick demo of KOS for what WAS completed...

For those of us unfortunate saps who missed the #KingsQuestForSteve video stream, will there be a link to the video anywhere?

I'm especially curious to see the "never-going-to-be-released Kingdom of Sorrow" build that Klytos made in action.
