Once you get 50 Thieving skill (at least, that is when it started with me), it seems that the text for geting a skillup when using pickpocket dip does not match up to when the skill actually increases.


Here is a savegame from when it started happening. Click the pickpocket dummy, then leave the den and come back, try again. The notification and the skillup are off by 4-5 attempts.

Quest for Infamy / Bug with Bracers of Stealth

If you equip the Bracers of Stealth, your Stealth skill is increased by 10. However, if you unequip it your skill only decreases by 5. Thus, but equipping and unequipping it repeatedly, you can raise your skill FAR above the standard cap of 100.

I found a text error. When you mean Ian at the thieves' den, and ask him where the action is, he says "I can give you a couple of idea." The audio says "ideas" correctly.

Quest for Infamy / [minor] Jan's voice after rescuing Arrows

After releasing the arrows and flirting with Voleris, Jan says "I'll stay here in case more of Rayford's guards come along." just before you leave (and get the Arrow through your heart achievement). However, there is no audio to accompany this.

Quest for Infamy / [minor] Voice when looking at dyed robes

After dying the robes green, looking at them in the inventory gives you a description, but the narrator just says "Dammit!". While hilarious, I'm not sure its correct. =)

Quest for Infamy / [minor] Tooltip on Map

When the South Woods are highlighted on the map, the text at the bottom reads "SouthWoods". There should be a space in there, to match how its written elsewhere.


It would be nice to have a location for the waterfall or swamp on the map, or even to have some unlockable areas (appear after you find them) for things like the Brigand's Den, Mansion, or Hummel's ruins. (Or, I'm lazy and don't want to have to run six screens... which is more likely.)

When you get the necklace from Kayanna, the banner that appears says Item Added: Morroi Necklace. However, based on the conversation, shouldn't this be the Centai Necklace?

Quest for Infamy / [minor] A couple pathing issues

There are two screens I've noticed that have some pathing issues.


One, just north of the Brigand fort. If you click on the path going north, it only works about half the time. The rest you seem to get above the transition line, and have to go south again to step on the right place.





The other is near the windmill. Clicking to go north often paths you over the water, instead of having you follow the path. (This image is not a very good example, you can actually walk ON the water in some cases.)

Quest for Infamy / [minor] Missing Book in Library

As a brigand (just after speaking with Tayanna outside the Bar in Act 1, if it matters), using the bookshelf behind Victor will occasionally give the standard "Heres one that catches your eye." message, but the actual book title/description does not appear afterword. I don't believe I ever had that happen to me as a Sorcerer.


Strangely enough, I did not once get the "Those who know" book as a brigand. Perhaps this is related.

Quest for Infamy / Practice in the Brigand Fortress

Not sure if this is bad luck, or a bug.


If you practice on the training dummy in the brigand fortress until you get the message you can't practice any more today, then leave and come back, it will let you practice again, but you won't get any skillups.


If its actually locked for the day, I would have assumed to get the message again. If not, I would expect to get at least one skillup in two complete practice sessions.


Practicing is also a place where I've notice the skillup banners acting up. Sometimes they won't show at all while practicing, but if you check your stats you actually have gotten skillups.

Quest for Infamy / [minor] Alchemist's Door stuck open

The door to the alchemist's door got stuck open somehow, possibly by me entering and then using the map to leave. It stays open, even at night, but trying to open it gives the standard locked dialog. This started in Act 1, but not sure of the exact timing.

Quest for Infamy / Breakfast/Dinner at the Inn

For the first couple of days, I could eat at the inn just after dark, or when I woke up in the morning. Since then, I just get a "You're no longer hungry, and you're no glutton - at least not for the food here!" message when trying to sit down. My rations still decrease normally, so apparently I'm eating before I should be eating in order to get a free meal.


This is as a sorcerer, started on Day 3 in Act 1, and is still happening in Act 2.

Quest for Infamy / Character stuck by table south of Mayor's house

I was going through Tyr to see what houses could be robbed, and came to the square south of the Mayor's home. I cast Unlock, and nothing happened, so I clicked to sneak north. Somehow I got stuck next to a table, and can't move. Other characters wander through the scene, and I can look at things, but the character will not move so I can't continue unless I restore.


I'm a sorcerer, and I believe this is still Act 1 (I just got the necklace from Tayanna).

When entering the grounds outside of the law school at night from the fountain plaza, running, as a Sorcerer, I get a scripting error:

I've been playing since downloading from Steam yesterday.
