http://jodorowskysdune.com/ (http://jodorowskysdune.com/)

so I just saw on my cable tv  this movie linked above.
ITS AWESOME, first HR GIGER and many more are in it, and well to hear the history of what could have been with the dune movie, I recommend anyone who is a fan of the book or movie, and or the works of jodorowsky and or hr giger etc to check this movie out

orson wells was to be baron
mick jagger instead of sting

tons of ending and plot differences, planet turns blue in the end as paul gets his throat slit (and no thats not apart of the book series)

anyway great movie, to see so much passion in the eyes of his crew only to be raped away by hollywood and dune failed in the box office as the avg attention span was 90min  for movies,
to bad they didnt wait 40+ years .. not the avg is like 3 hours in a movie or more LOTR anyone lol

Yeah man.  I mentioned this one a few months back.  Great documentary.  I honestly just want the book they look through in the movie.  That thing was awesome.  I am currently reading the book now for the first time.  Loving it.

I'm a big fan of Dune - both the book and Lynch's 1984 film.  The film I mostly like for it's costume design, art direction and set design, though... narratively, it's a mess - sure - but I still like it.  The Jodorworsky doc was great, but let's be honest - he had grand aspirations, but a lack of focus.  It was too big to accomplish.  Sometimes, you gotta pare it down.

Hahah, yeah, it's very true.  I often want to pat us all on the back for completing QFI, because it became a very large and ambitious project and often those do not get finished, especially by indie groups!!
