So what does everyone think now that the show has started?

My thoughts (SPOILER ALERT):

Don't think she was mate lol. There are reviewers and fans all over the net wondering about the zero mention of Lal. All Data daughter references in the first ep are about Dahj and her twin sister. But if you're sure feel free to chuck me a timestamp and I'll go look to see if you're seeing something we're all missing haha.

Episode 2 of Picard just seen. Glad it explains some of the mysteries & fan complaints about the first episode.

Oh and apparently CBS has posted the first episode of Picard on YouTube (https://www.theverge.com/2020/1/30/21115348/star-trek-picard-cbs-all-access-first-episode-free-watch-pilot) for a limited time. So, if people dont have All Access or Amazon and want to check it out, you have til Feb 7 to watch it for free. Naturally it's region locked though urgh. :/

Didn't Picard say something to the scientist from the Daystrom Institute that they couldn't replicate Data's positronic brain, even Data couldn't manage that. I took that as a reference to Lal.

I just rewatched the scene to see. The scientist says "no has ever been able to redevelop the science used to create Data" but doesn't say the even data couldn't bit. Later Picard says "Data always wanted a daughter" which would be the closest reference to him creating Lal I guess.

I'm still enjoying the show but am still unsure as to whether I actually really really like it or not. Still need to see how story pans out lol.

It's hidden behind a paywall for CBS's online "Hulu/Netflix/Amazon"-type service.

I think they may have released an episode or two for free viewing to spark interest from current non-payers.

How come nobody caught on to my previous post about allyoulike.com ? you can create a free account and download files up to 450 meg free. There is a catch though, free accounts are limited to 100kb speed or less. But hey, start a download and do something else.

Yeah I'm just vpn torrenting to be honest.. not great I know but I ALWAYS buy the bluray boxet at the end (kind of a special features nerd haha) so they'll get my money eventually lol.

I don't pirate games anymore though.. gotta be a good 15yrs + since I last did that. I like physcial collecting too much. Sadly thats a dying thing though so I'm slowly embracing Steam & Gog lol.

Anyway.. episode 4 seen (belated).. WE'RE OFF!:

Guess I better hurry up and watch Ep 5 now instead of reading comments as that's just asking for spoilers haha.
