Title: It's official I have a girlfriend.:)

Yes I have a girlfriend who accepts me for who I am. She and I celebrated my birthday today I'm so happy we also went to see the Blue Angels air show at the beach today. The Blue Angels are a stunt jet team in the US for those here who don't know. BTW I'm 29 now.

Greaaaaat... so we lose another forum regular to "romance"... I really feel that "real world" relationships are the death of online communities!  I had such good times with my old high-school and college buddies, until they all wandered off to "fall in love" or "build a solid engineering career", or "bring a new life into the world".

What's next?  True happiness?  Love and fulfillment?  Soon, you'll be going outdoors into the WORLD with her... what if you like it?  Then, we'll lose you for sure :(

Jeez, that will be the death knell of geekdom, MARK MY WORDS.

(Oh, and congratulations, BTW!  Finding someone awesome who's willing to put up with your shit is vastly underrated.  Mrs. SD is my best friend, and the most important adult in my life... it feels like I've learned everything about everything from her, and should properly spend the rest of my life repaying her somehow. :) )

Sorry to double post but I'm engaged now. :) We still haven't decided on a date being she still has a few things to do before we can get married so it may be a couple years but I'm still happy.

Don't rush into marriage or anything too quickly.  A lot of guys that never had gf's before find themselves quickly in love and rushing into marriage.  Seen it happen more than a few times to my buddies.

Wow, that was a whirlwind... sometimes a relationship burns too hot, and too quickly.  Sometimes that's a sign, other times it's not.  Sorry to hear it, though... it's rarely easy.  :-\

LMAO seriously though stay guarded I was  engaged and in a long term relationship I recently discovered she cheated on me for 2 out of those 3 years  and  ended it not to bring you down
