IQ Chat / How is The Game Going?
« on: November 09, 2015, 02:32:59 PM »
Hi Team IQ!

I was just wondering how The kings Challenge was going? According to this site, http://www.indiedb.com/games/the-order-of-the-thorne-the-kings-challenge, the release date for Order of The Thorne is the twenty-fifth of November, is this correct?  How is your experience developing Quest for Infamy helping you to develop this game?

Wishing you all well,

Erik Parkin

IQ Chat / Thank You For Your Games!

Hi Team IQ,

There's something I'd like you folks to know. I deal with something called Cerebral Palsy. This is a disability that effects how I walk, talk and hold things Mostly, I use a wheelchair to move about. I'm also a gamer, but, since I deal with Cerebral Palsy, its very hard for me to play twitchy games with my friends. I would lose too quickly. Sometimes, people would think I was an easy target, or a liability to their team and wouldn't pick me, or sometimes they'd forget I was there period.  It made me feel sort of invisible and I didn't like to play ):

The easiest games for me to play were the the third person adventure games from Sierra/lLcasarts  and the kind you folks work so hard at making. When I play games like Space Quest, Kings Quest or QFI, my friends ask my help and  I felt more visible and included. What I'm trying to say is, thanks for your games and your work. Even though you folks don't know me from Adam, you've made a big difference in my life. :)

With Gratitude,

Erik Parkin

Although I don't post very much, I  have been following you endeavors for awhile. I bought QFI and liked it. You ladies and gentlemen have earned every bit of success that has come your way and I wish you even more success with you anthology. I will play it.
Begging your pardon, I don't mean to pry. How is Blackthorne feeling these days?
Sincerely,

IQ Chat / I am Quite excited to play Quest For Infamy!
« on: June 09, 2014, 10:10:46 PM »
Hello!
I know you folks must be quite busy right now. But I wanted to say that I am quite excited to play your game. I seem to Identify with fantasy Anti-heros. What you folks have is really quite inspiring. You had a goal and you worked, & worked & worked until you brought it to fruition and didn't give up and that's a great thing. It shows great perseverance and fortitude on your parts.  You all should be quite proud of what you've all accomplished and will continue to accomplish. I hope you will remember that when things get tough during the home stretch. To be honest, I'm more excited for QFI than I Am for the Gabriel Knight Remake. I'd appreciate it if you kept that part to yourselves !:)

I can't wait to play! :)

Respectfully yours,

Erik Parkin

IQ Chat / An observation and some questions
« on: May 20, 2014, 08:31:09 PM »
Hello QFI team!

First I'd like to make an observation. The other day I was on Facebook and I happened to see a picture of Al Lowe and a picture if Steve. It is my considered opinion, that Steve looks like a younger version of Al Lowe. I was quite struck by this similarity. Now, when I think of your game I think of LSL. I also have some questions.
1. I certainly don't mean to pry, but I seem to remember a post on Facebook that said that Steve's wife was in the hospital due to a gastoric bypass. Did everything go Okay? Please accept my best wishes for a speedy recovery.
2. What is your favorite class in QFI? Thanks for your time.

Hello QFI Folks,

I read that you are working with Phoenix On-line to publish your game Congratulations.  I know that publishing involves getting the product to the public. But, I was wondering what does a publisher actually do? Specifically what are POS's responsibilities regarding QFI? What are they helping you to do? Congratulations on this achievement I hope everything goes well in the home stretch.

It is a nice reminder of what people can do when they work together with mutual purpose and respect for each other. Can't wait to play your game when it is out.

Very well done indeed

Quest for Infamy / QFI Magic questions and suggestion
« on: December 10, 2013, 06:14:23 PM »
Hello everyone

My name is Erik. First I would like to say how impressed I am with the amount of work that has gone into this game.  I'm excited to play it.  I have some questions that I would like to ask, I understand if they can't be answered.

1. I'm intrigued by the magic user class in this game, I saw the demo How does this magic user class differ from the one in quest for glory? How is magic learned what kind of spells can you use?

2. How will you Celebrate when QFI is done, are you considering other projects?

3. I am a physically disabled person and twitchy fighting games are a little bit hard for me to play. This is a friendly suggestion It might be a good idea to build in a difficulty slider to your combat system to make combat a little easier for people who aren't good at combat.

I am very excited to play this game.  Thank you for your hard work.

Sincerely,

Erik Parkin
