You were very ambitious, and the great thing is, you did it! The game was made, and will always have been made. Lots of thanks from us to you and the rest of the dev team!

I thought Endgame delivered in every possible way. The score in particular blew me away; the way it wove in themes from prior MCU movies without being heavy handed about it was amazing. I thought it was a perfect capstone to the whole sprawling tangle of the MCU. I think I’m going to be done with superhero movies for a while (much like I was done with fantasy movies for a while after Return of the King) because it was so emotionally satisfying, I’m not sure how anything could follow it up.

Don't worry about it too much, BT. The genre has died before. ;)

Quest for Infamy / Re: Update / replace intro V.O. in QFI 2.0?

Oh interesting; I always thought it was just a few minutes. Sounds like a perfect opportunity to have an obscure reference to Space Quest 2:

"Time passes..."

"More time passes..."

"A strange dream turns into the realization that you are being shaken and talked to by a voice unfamiliar to you. A dull ache triggers a distant memory of a scuffle in which you were the focal point."

But with something added to indicate how long you've been out.

I second Unavowed and Lamplight City - they’re both great!

Nice! Hopefully you like it. Just don’t question the premise too hard and it’ll be much more enjoyable...there’s a bit of hand-waving 🙂

Have you by chance read Dies the Fire by S.M. Stirling?

Parser games will always hold a special place in my heart, since my first Sierra game was SQ1 EGA. I'm especially fond of the parsers that wouldn't pause the game while you type. There was no better typing tutor than having to type in a command before an event timer caused your demise. (Come to think of it, this was probably more akin to Stockholm Syndrome than true fondness...)

Sounds to me like Telltale finally did to their employees what they did to "modern" adventure games years ago.

And the employees are taking action; there's now a class-action lawsuit filed against Telltale.

The production values seem really high, and they certainly went after top-tier voice acting talent, so I'm hopeful. It's going to be awfully hard to live up to the level of expectation out there, though.

The more like Twilight Zone any given Voyager episode is, the more I like it. Though come to think of it, that's true of any episode of almost anything for me.

I definitely like Rogue One the best. Its characters and story are, for me, easily the most compelling among all of the new stuff. I wonder if part of the reason why I liked it so much is that there wasn't a mythology distraction. Typically I love mythology in TV and movies, but it can get in the way of the storytelling. With Rogue One it was just a straight up story with characters I cared about. I loved it.

I enjoy all the new movies (though I haven't seen Solo). I went in to them without much expectation, because I saw how different the prequels were than the originals, so I went in planning to take them as they were. And I thought they were good! Not without their flaws, of course (and Canto Bight was a big flaw), but I'll take them even with their flaws. The thing about Star Wars overall is that it's thematic; it's not sci-fi, it's space fantasy, and I enjoy it that way, just like I enjoyed all the big dumb fantasy movies in the 80's.
