v1.1 bugs (Brigand)

I've had a lot of fun with the game so far, but there's still many bugs! I'm using the Steam version, so it's the latest stable. This is from my first playthough, all as Brigand.


Scripting bugs:
  • Exiting mayor's house by talking to the butler, the walk animation happens twice.
  • During night siege on Tyr, clicking USE on balcony door of Mayor's house triggers a rogue quest? (door which is supposed to be locked suddenly isn't, and I appear on the roof near the birdcage & tiger). Again, I'm a BRIGAND.
  • If you enter Tyr by boat, you can keep searching bodies to get thousands of bly + healing potions (two guards outside R Mills & Sons, also two guards outside the port authority on the next screen).
  • I escaped from a dwarf fight adjacent the hunters treehouse, and at the treehouse I got a free body and message I'd scared the other hunters away (I had already removed the hunters using Tyr working girl). Note: This is just an example. I don't think it was the only case of a body appearing when entering a screen using "escape" from a fight.
  • Travelling from inside a room using the map breaks the "door" animation when you return (Brigand's Den, Jerrod's Alchemy).
  • I drank the moonshine while standing at mine lake while working for the Necromancer. Suddenly I was in the barn with a broken walk animation, and exiting the barn, the game crashed:

Pathfinding bugs:
  • If you accidentally click the tree bridging the path north of the Brigand's Den, Roehm walks all the way up it. If you try to continue and exit to the right, he goes all the way back down to left.
  • In the mines, entering the dwarf's camp from south then immediately trying to go east = goes south. You have to position Roehm further into the screen first.


Dialogue continuity issues:
  • I killed Gorth on day 2. While most conversations reflect this, a few were missed:
    • Neils: "It's a pretty quiet town - never much trouble. Except for Gorth - he's always causing trouble.
    • Ina: "Oh yes! Pa has beat on Gorth any number of times with that stick! I think Gorth enjoys it though; He's such a brute."
    • Barth: "thanks to you, I don't think he'll be much trouble for a while!" (how about never?)
  • Neils is due for a new hammer and has one saddle to trade, even after I already traded!
  • After Morroi make their first appearance, Rayford walks further into the town. But if you then try to go into Rayford's office, Jan says Rayford is in there and busy. No he's not!
  • Misleading: "There's no other tools you're interested in" in barn, when you don't have the saw and/or crowbar yet.
  • Homestead: If you look at the animal it's a goat. If you try to touch it, it's a sheep.
  • Kurdt in the pub asks you to do the escort job after you've already done it in the Brigand's den.
  • "You take another look at the letter Jarett gave you" -- said the first time reading it, if you spoke to him before reading (also gives convo options master/servant/living/dead assuming you've read it).


Misc dialogue issues:
  • If you rapidly click around the wall in Mills & Son, you get the "touch stove" dialogue.
  • Bow woman in brigand hideout has blank name in dialogue header (I expected it to at least have "woman" or something like it does for other unnamed people).
  • "This is a guard of Tyr, knows as the Tyr's Arrows" -- is this a typo?
  • Line is not voiced outside Arrows Barracks - Jan: "I'll stay here in case more of Rayford's guards come along."


Usability:
  • I get trapped inside the save dialogue if I try to use it when the mouse cursor is out of control (Archery, Drinking contest).
  • I can fill empty flask near waterfall, so why not in Tyr fountain (as you can drink here with USE action too).
  • After killing a snake in the swamp, it blocked my narrow path (1 screen south-east of sewerage pipe). However, I could re-enter the screen to fix it.

Hm... If it's broke, spose you'll find something if you keep picking. I've played 1.1 inside out several times each character and hardly anything really that bad. Though I did have some issues until my registry was optimized and the hard disk was defragged.
Lynda Carter, Wonder Woman, once sent me autographed photos that put me on cloud nine. The photos are on my living room wall.

as 2 diff paths ive found pages of bugs, mostly minor but some pretty awsome!
check the kracken as sorc that animation is all messed up

check the slaver once you kill him for example, how can he be snoring still?
idk lots of little things but nothing HUUGE hugee like game breakin so far to my views


as for the waterfall in tyr! its closely guarded! hehe
as a sorc if you try to get water for the spell, guess who comes out and gives the OH heck no not in my fountain girlfriend!
i mean rohem. so you dont do anything but steal or drink from it, ahhh
i found it odd you cant get water from near the talkin trees  that water looks like the water in the original TRON movie! makes em glow hehe

I noticed a couple more issues with my Brigand:

1.  When I climbed Von Darkles' balcony, I couldn't seem to climb back down!
2.  On the "rob the caravan" mission, you can use the map to go right to the bridge and then walk back south to the ambush.  You can do this without even encountering Kurdt on the road.

as for that bug for the vines, at mayors its for all classes,
and you can max climbing out fast that way,

i reported that already :)
even made a fun vid of it and a few other bugs like the kracken bug
vine bug and infinite climb increase, and its a bug that anyone but thief can get there imo
