« on: November 08, 2016, 08:57:42 AM »
Today is Erection, oops I mean Election day in the United States of America.  So today we in the USA for the nation's most powerful office, president.  If your from the USA and of legal voting age, get out there and VOTE, because its super and your civic duty.  AND for J. H. Christ yes your vote counts for something, I'm tired of folks saying they don't vote because it doesn't matter. IT DOES MATTER PERIOd! :)  SO, Don't Vote, Don't Bitch about things or politicians (which generally are dishonest and suck), or the state of the Union.  VOTE, VOTe, Vote!!!!!!

Banter and Chit-Chat! / Are we slaves to the Net
« on: November 06, 2016, 04:13:08 AM »
As titled are we slaves to the Internet? Hell I pay bills, shop, play games, and talk to family and friends on the net.  Yet the world seems smaller not bigger. I used to call on the phone or write letters. (Remember that?) Don't get me wrong I love technology and the digital age, but it seems like we are becoming too used to shooting an email or txt to somebody than taking the time to connect in a more personal way. I don't won't to sound like my folks or grandmother, but hell I spend way too much online personally  and professionally nowadays, sadly.

Banter and Chit-Chat! / Vacations:
« on: October 24, 2016, 05:45:09 PM »
Vacations.  Have any memorable ones from when you were a kid, or as an adult?  I was fortunate growing up to take some awesome family vacations.  Here's some of my favorite ones.  As a kid we went skiing in Stowe Vermont, as well as to the Beach on the Outer Banks of NC.  I remember going to FL to Disney World and Daytona Beach.  But the best one we ever took was when I was 18, we flew to CA rented a van and drove some 2000 miles, to the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, San Diego, LA, and San Francisco.  Walking the Strip in Vegas was cool, as was driving up highway 1 in CA.  Three weeks total trip time in the summer of '96.  Chadly. 8)

Quest for Infamy / Kickstarter Hits and Misses.
« on: September 05, 2016, 04:25:51 PM »
Since the advent of the Kickstarter craze, I have seen some wonderful Projects.  I could list them but the ones that stand out speak for themselves.  The majority of projects I have supported with my money have turned out well.  However some have not.  Kickstarters are a gamble to say the least.  The creators look to the masses to fund their project.  As backers we have no idea what the individual, or individuals come from, only that they have a cool idea and need our money to make a dream a reality.  From the actual product to the KS rewards, we take a chance, that the end product might just suck, be awesome, or not get finished at all.  Point in case I supported a KS that took in as much money as Quest for infamy.  Sadly the designer didn't have the design skills, financial wherewithal or managerial skills to make the project come to completion.  He spent the backers money on a house in the Midwest, and the project died.  So im out a 100 bucks, which sucks.  I haven't supported any KS lately.  Some I have, and im still waiting for, (SpaceVenture/Hero U).  At the very least I KNOW that the folks who RUN Infamous Quests are reliable and keep their promises.  I can only hope the future is a bright one for those here.  IF not its been a great run.  Thank you all.:)   Chadly.

Banter and Chit-Chat! / Old classic Sierra Games that are hard to find:)
« on: August 16, 2016, 07:54:55 AM »
Here are some Old classic Sierra Games that are hard to Find.  The following games are not available on Steam Or Gog.com

  1. Conquest of Camelot: Search for the Holy Grail.

  2. Conquest of the Longbow: Robin Hood

  3. Heart of China.

  4. Rise of the Dragon.

  5. Codename Iceman.

  6. Thexder.

  7. Silpheed.: Miss spell: a space ship shooter.

These games I played in the late 80's early 90's.  Some were quite a challenge, others frustrating, but all were fun.  They CAN be found on the net thru Searching, but download at your own risk and getting to run on modern computers in a challenge even in Dosbox.  Try em out, as they will complete any old school gamers collection of Sierra Titles.    Chadly.

Banter and Chit-Chat! / Tv series
« on: August 10, 2016, 01:15:00 AM »
So tv series.  What's your favorite? I really enjoy the Walking Dead and Game of Thrones.  This past season of Thrones was fantastic.  I just wish George rr Martin would finish the Winds of Winter.  The Books are better than the tv series, but not by much. I find that books are almost always better than the tv or movies.

I also like the walking dead. Action packed, end if the world type show.  Any thoughts?

Banter and Chit-Chat! / Things I miss from the 1980's and 90's
« on: May 17, 2016, 07:59:03 AM »
Hi all. Here's some of the things I miss from the 1980's and '90's that I miss that are no longer around.  Aladins
Castle (the local arcade), Planter's Cheeseballs, Reebok Pump tennis shoes, 80's rock music (Metallica, G&R, Def Leopard, big hair bands, decent Bruce Springsteen music (not the the stuff the Boss does now), Sony Walkman, going to a movies and a date used to cost 25 bucks, not 50 +, drive in theatres, Parachute pants, Jams shorts, Saturday morning Cartoons, and finally Star Trek the next Generation.  My kids will never get to know these simple things from my youth sadly. Damn I hate being almost 40. Lol.  Feel free to add to the list.;)

Banter and Chit-Chat! / Helping IQ make classic games
« on: April 09, 2015, 07:03:39 PM »
Ok, just read Klytos memo on what he does all day, about making games. Great Post :)  Here is what i do as a fan of classic games.  I tell al my friends that These Games are being made again for cheap!  I support them via kickstarter and then buy a couple copies....   I give so much credit to the designers for taking the risk to make these type of games on a shoestring budget.  Shit most my friends are married and divorced, with jobs, kids, and responsibilities to even take the time to play computer games anymore.  Now im single (at the moment. hello ladies!) and work a lot but gaming is my hobby and stress relief.  So i am willing to do whatever it takes to see these games made, instead of shit boring first player shooters which sadly have become the norm.  Damn it to hell,  why are we as gamers so involved in these games and MMO's that that is all we play??  The answer is simple: thats all thats being made!  I'm tired of it!  So Kudoes ti IQ and the few others, who step outside the box to once again make an original thinking games. I hope that there is more to come!                     Chadly. :D

Banter and Chit-Chat! / Patriotism (or mahjong pride in your Country)
« on: March 13, 2015, 11:22:31 PM »
Hey all, I am from the U.SA. and this thread is meant to show patriotism to one's own Country.  I love my country and serve it the best i can.  I vote (for what it is worth), pay taxes (who does not?), live, work and try to be a good productive member of society.  It is my humble belief that one should be proud of where they come from.  I Love my country and serve it for all its questionable events over the last 239 years!  In the end i beleive in the principals unto this nation was founded. Have we strayed? Maybe. Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.  I am not an American Asshole who thinks we are the best, but the ideas, unto which this country was founded on is. :)

                                                                                                                                      Chadly.

Banter and Chit-Chat! / Memories (share them)
« on: March 07, 2015, 04:21:27 PM »
Memories.  I have plenty of them, Good and Bad.  I am sitting in the house where I grew up today and sadly its about to be sold.  If i had the money i would buy it.  I walk around this place and remember all the good times i have had.  Such as building my first dog house for my Husky Thunder, with my Dad.  All the parties I had here when the folks were gone! ;)  Getting to know my first girlfriend..... :)  Watching and taking care of my younger brother and sister.  My sisters graduation party.  The first Christmas here and such......     I wonder if in the next 30 years if my family will remember my home and all the good times we have had and will.  Maybe i am just getting to be old and sentimental in my late 30's.  Getting close to 40.  Wow where does the time Go???  Shit just yesterday i was 18 and 21! ;D

                                                                                                                                                   Chadly
