Well, regardless of the name it's the best site to offer DRM-free music with FLAC option (and free streaming as a bonus). :)

Just started the game and I like it. Lute playing reminds me of Loom, and it's great! Just one suggestion. May be in addition to easy and hard mode, you can make an expert mode, where making a mistake won't produce a warning and canceling of the tune until one is done playing. I think it makes it more interesting and fun for those who like musical instruments. Loom actually does exactly that (if you are wrong, in the end of the draft it just says that it doesn't sound like a draft).

Banter and Chit-Chat! / Re: Adventure Games

I practically don't use any adventure games forums besides this one. I use a few RPG forums however which have threads about adventure games (as well as GOG forums), and I find them interesting and never really encountered any trolling in them (threads). May be I was lucky?-) I guess it depends a lot on the actual forum, but usually I'd expect RPGs and adventure games to attract people who value storytelling in games so it's kind of surprising that some adventure games forums have so many trolls.

Facebook? Nah, I don't even have an account there. Diaspora* is way more interesting.

I own the retail games, they dont work(most of them as I am on win7 64 bit)

For me, if it's a Windows game that works in Wine on Linux - it works (Bloodlines for instance is working pretty well in Wine: https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=4949 ). If it doesn't - I skip it ;)

Interestingly, some old games tend to work in Wine better than in Windows 8 where they just don't run at all ;D

If I posted what I did to the game every day you'd kill yourself with boredom.

Today for example "Today I spent a few hours trying to work out why during combat Roehm will occasionally miss instead of hit, even if his stats are at 100% to hit. Because of the seemingly random nature of the bug, I played about 300 random combats until I saw a pattern. Then I changed an = to a >= in the code and it was fixed. The end."

That's one of those annoying bugs which are hard to hunt down while the change in the code is very minor. Not unlike something when you mistakenly put an extra semicolon after the if condition in C++ and then things go weird :)

I believe there was one track in the game that didn't make it, the prelude music - as it had the baron/daughter dialogue mixed in with it... I think.. I don't think that made it in anyway

Yeah, I was looking for that theme and didn't find it. The music there was funny (near the part with cat sound and windows lighting up). May be you can find it in the original (not mixed) form?

Just got the OST. I noticed that some tracks aren't listed in the m3u file:

Code: [Select]
Beer Beer Beer.mp3
Choose your PAth.mp3
Sneaking.mp3
Steve's Archery tune.mp3
The Beer Song.mp3

Are they supposed to be 95-99 ones?

Also, The Beer Song.mp3 is identical to Beer Beer Beer.mp3.

And thanks for the music of course!

Yeah, I look at selling FLACs as simply functional compressed and pure digital replacement of CDs (which are raw lossless audio). I can encode from CD to any codec I wish with transparency, same with FLAC. And encoding from MP3 as was already mentioned above isn't equivalent. So the fact that they sound the same is only part of the picture. I agree that only a minority would deal with reencoding anyway, but I look at this from the point of view of not reducing functionality.

Those new pseudo formats are a fake (according to this article: https://people.xiph.org/~xiphmont/demo/neil-young.html ). I'm not an expert in it really, but I trust Monty knows what he is saying.
