Recommendation for File Sharing?

Hi, all.

I have the occasional need to upload rather large files or ZIPs to friends and family.  In the distant past, I've used RapidShare and 4Shared.  However, these lately have become too cumbersome and down-right user un-friendly.

Can anyone recommend a relatively hassle-free "free" upload/download website?

Why not just use Google Drive? I usually just upload things to my site and share the link.

I find google drive the most useful, particularly when you're sending it to someone who may not have a dropbox account etc. (like parents or non computer savvy friends)  I use it for everything that's too big to stick in an email, and it just gives you a download link they can use without having to register anything.

Was that the kind of thing you meant?
