Here you go, Serena :)

Well, that is an hour and 20 minutes of my afternoon well used. But we are getting slighty off topic here

Banter and Chit-Chat! / Rob Paulsen and Voice Acting
« on: February 24, 2013, 05:25:01 PM »
Let me tell you - from what I've seen, it's actually really cool.  I'm rather psyched about it.  I feel like it's almost a companion piece to QFI - QFI is more about playing as a scoundrel/thief, and Mage's is an adventure for Magic users.  Now I think we have to have another game about a Barbarian and we're all set!

Bt

Haha like a "Quest for Savagery"? How about a game where you go to different towns, looting, pillaging, and burning everything in your path? Where its possible to kill NPC's. How about a pirate game... the anti-Monkey Island. You could call it "Cutthroat".

While I got your attention Bt, do you guys need any help with voice acting? Maybe just a few lines for a minor character. I'm not looking to get paid, just trying to see if I have any potential as a voice actor. Someone once told me that I should look into it.

Voice acting would be a really cool job. Rob Paulsen (who is basically the voice of my childhood) is one of the most awesome persons to have ever lived.

Backers can see some screen shots of the final combat system in the backers forums.

Anything else in there? ;)

We've been swore to secrecy, so if I did tell you what has been released from the Cave of Wonders, then I will get dragged off to the secret dungeon.

On my own notes, there is only one thing I want to add at this point (since I am only half way through testing it myself), I hope there are more funny death moments. When I was in the pharmacy and the narrator was saying "You really don't want to touch that", all I could think was "OK, create a save file here, and lets see how I die", but no funny death happened :(

But I know that this is only the demo, and we will see many funny deaths in the game itself. You only have to look at the "trying to pick up the fishing pole" part for one such example

I've thought of a small idea, considering that this has been abandoned for some time, could there be hints of something living in the hole of the roof, like a nest or something?

We even got to see the concept art!   :)

Wow your memory is really good

Anyone else remember our discussion on the possibility of a library in this game, so glad that it is confirmed. Looks awesome and I hope it is just as massive on the inside

Steve actually wrote a bit of side plot around this particular homestead

OK, now I am looking at that photo with an adventure gamers mindset. What things will be hiding in there, where could they be hidden, and what logic defying puzzle will I need to solve in order to get set item? :P

I should properly go back to just enjoying the pretty picture :)

Quest for Infamy / Re: What are you most looking forward to?
« on: February 09, 2013, 06:19:18 PM »
Personally, I am looking forward to exploring and the storyline since those are my two favourite things in games (engaging characters being the third).

I didn't notice that you could vote for three choices until I had already clicked vote though, so the poll will only get my storyline vote. Oh well

After seeing that pic I feel the urge to jump the gorge to see what's on the other side.

Same here, I loved the background so much I had to look away to actually see the house.

So Jason, how do you see this area being abandoned? Has it been 5 years, 10 or even 50?
