With the Earth's magnetic field decreasing and solar flares increasing, Sol appears to be the SOB after all, for awhile at least. When these two galaxies collide, I hope Sol gets its just dues for destroying Earth!

Sometime in the FAR distant future our Sun will become super nova and bam, no more solar system. One race of many will be erased from existence. I shouldn't really worry and even though I will have long been out of existence, I will have been truly saddened by what may have been created before the big ending!

I guess this probably ruins a few human's present day outlooks. heh heh heh

Police Quests are about the only ones I couldn't really get into.

I remember, when playing Conquest Of Camelot, it could easily fail from cache overflow. After finally completing it, I sent a save file to Ken and his significant other, to show I had actually completed the game and the fact that my eyes were square (from staring at the monitor countless hours) and rather crusty. They replied with an apology and hoped my eyes would soon return to normal. hahaha!

Oh, he**... you guys are spring chickens. I hit 75 this past Dec, 2017 and my life is chocked full of what ifs, but I guess I'm right where I'm supposed to be. For instance, in high school ran against a guy and beat him in the 100. Years later he was an Olympian. Had a chance to marry into money and declined. Was offered $90 a week to go to school for IBM, nope! After two weeks in basic training at Ft. Knox was offered a trip to OCS, turned it down. Etc, Etc. What if?

Loved UHS. Plenty of just simple hints before any giveaways. It's a shame people go straight to the walkthrough and don't want to think anymore.

Almost missed this important thread. Anything military related chokes me up. A few months ago, I met the only surviving metal of honor winner from W.VA. He was at the flag raising on Surabachi hill. He's in his 90's and still driving. Over all, you can take the soldier out of the military, but you can't take the military out of the soldier.

A heart felt sorrow at your loss, but hey, you'll continue on.

Ya wanta know what old is? Well I'll tell ya:

First the youthful part: I used to go to sleep under a blanket, then wake up the next morning under a tent.
That is far in the past. I'm seriously thinking of changing my name to Ed  >:(

Bill Gates recently gave a speech at a High School about
Eleven things they did not and will not learn in school.
He talks about how feel-good, politically correct teachings
Created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and
How this concept set them up for failure in the real world.

Rule 1 :   Life is not fair - get used to it!

Rule 2 :   The world doesn't care about your self-esteem.
The world will expect you to accomplish something
BEFORE you feel good about yourself.

Rule 3 :   You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school.
You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.

Rule 4 :   If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.

Rule 5 :   Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity.
Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping:
They called it opportunity.

Rule 6 : If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault,
So don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.

Rule 7 :   Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring
As they are now.  They got that way from paying your bills,
Cleaning your clothes and listening to you
Talk about how cool you thought you were:
So before you save the rain forest
From the parasites of your parent's generation,
Try delousing the closet in your own room.

Rule 8 :   Your school may have done away with winners and losers,
But life HAS NOT.  In some schools, they have abolished failing grades
And they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer.
*This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.

Rule 9 :   Life is not divided into semesters.
You don't get summers off and very few employers
Are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF.
(Do that on your own time.)

Rule 10 :   Television is NOT real life.
In real life, people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.

Rule 11 :  Be nice to nerds.
Chances are you'll end up working for one.

If you can read this...thank a Teacher.

If you can read this in English...thank a Soldier!

And for life and everything else you have...thank God!

Now....think about this and smile if you agree and please pass this on....

If you don't agree, go stick your head in the SAND and take a DEEP BREATH!

When I was 4 or 5, I did all sorts of stuff out of curiosity. I ate one of those little brown ants that craw around on sidewalks. Gawd, that sucker was really bitter. Another time I spotted some weird green fuzzy stuff on some pieces of metal (copper?). Tasted rather bitter. Man it's a wonder I'm still alive.
