Title: Have trouble getting past the Runes

I am up the mountain at the runes. I have checked a walk-through and have the solution but whenever I put the stones in the correct order it says it is wrong and I need to try again. I have been to the library to show the librarian the runes I rubbed onto paper. Any solution to this problem?? Thanks!

I did rotate the last symbol so it's upside down. It still won't accept the stones and let me through. I wonder if it's a bug in the game. Thanks for responding! :)

(1) What's the version of the game? 1.0, 1.1, etc.

(2) Did you changed the wording of the runes from a question "Is There A Way In?" (that the Librarian told you it says now) to a declaration of an affirmative statement?

"There Is A Way In" -- Switching the first two runes and rotating the final rune changes the sentence from a question to a statement

I downloaded it May 24, 2020 from Steam. I did switch the first two runes and make the last rune upside down. It still says its in the wrong order. Is there something in the game I need to do first before it accepts the stones? I really appreciate your help!

I am a player and not a developer.

Things that I know you need to do first:

Spoiler (hover to show)

- take the rubbing of the runes using the paper and charcoal that you get from the artist at Tyr.

- take the rubbing to the library and show it to the librarians.

When you go to place the runes... as you move the runes down to the squares wait for the rune piece to sort of "stick" -- then you know it is in the correct position.  Make sure you right-click twice on the last rune.

Frankly, you don't even need to do the rune puzzle if you don't want to.  There is only one time that you absolutely must visit the Morroi temple (or whatever) and you can do that by going through the sewer in the swamp.  You will know when that time comes because you will be sent there.

I, too, am a fan and player, not a developer.

If Adventuress's tips don't work, you may need to wait until one of the developers shows up.  They are busy with real life and creating other IQ games, but do make an appearance here every so often.

If there is truly a problem, they would know.   ;)

Thank you all who replied. I finally was able to get past the runes! It appeared I didn't have them in the boxes all the way.

I may have replied to this on Steam, but yeah. it's very specific where you place the rune. Honestly, it was the single piece of programming we had the most trouble with because it requires such accuracy. Glad you got past it.
