...And I seriously debated between Quest For Infamy 2: Roehm Harder versus Quest For Infamy 2: Electric Roehm-a-loo

Roehm Harder won out, if only for our international friends who may not be familiar with the Breakin' series of movies...

Plus, the whole double entendre concerning Mr. Roehms' well-known virility...   8)

Yeah, as soon as I posted this, I looked at the IQ Twitter feed and saw you had posted there...   ::)

And nice use of my Space Quest logo font!   ;)

Goatmeal - I hate to say it, but there's no classing in R2R. It's a prequel, he can't class up here then forget it in 6 weeks time when he gets to Volksville! What we've done is a number of ways to deal with most situations which are our three classes orientated. As an example, early on in the game there's a thief you have to deal with, and there's a brigand approach, a thief approach, a coward approach, and a "don't give a stuff" approach. There's a number of those type of situations. It's a more melded approach to the classes.

 ;)

I know, Klytos -- I was only kidding!   ;D  Just trying to give Blackthorne a heart attack about our [over] expectations for RtR.

The choices you describe make sense for the prequel -- Can't wait for its release...   8)

It's nice to see that there are people excited about Roehm to Ruin - though, honestly, it makes me a little nervous.  RtR is a much smaller game than QFI was.  I really like it, and it's fun - it's a great little chapter in the QFI story - but I don't think we'd ever be able to make a game as large as QFI again.  That was just a crazy time - we all had high hopes and lots of ambition.  Our scope has been tempered for sure... I was going through the gigabytes of raw files for QFI, not only the finished assets, but the sketches, ideas, unused stuff... that was a huge production.   I do hope you'll enjoy Roehm to Ruin, though.

Bt

Well, as long as we get to select Roehm's career path again in RtR (Brigand, Sorcerer, or Thief), I'm sure it'll do just fine...

Oh, and by the way - I've forgotten: in case of your Facebook profile I can't even read it. Anytime I access it from Infamous Quests' website, a message appears that I have to log in. Which I obviously cannot do... I can read lots of Facebook profiles, which don't request logging in for just viewing the posts and comments, they would only request logging in if I, for example, tried to send a comment myself. And your profile, unfortunately, requests logging in right at the start...

Unfortunately, it's been like that for some time -- at least about 6 months or so (I don't have a FB profile, either).

I don't believe it was something intentional that IQ did or failed to do to their page -- I checked the page one day and the log-in request started popping up all of a sudden.  Maybe a new switch/trigger that FB installed/instituted during an update?

You should be able to select "Not Now," relegating the request to the bottom ~1/3 of the page.  While it makes viewing the info a bit more difficult, it sure beats joining Zuck's FB.

And as BT said, FB is dying; there are few new posts/comments there anymore, anyway...   :-\

It's not just here mate, a lot of forums are dead now. Social media has crushed them. I think there's probably about 4 "regular" posters here.

I'm still here!   ;D

So sorry to hear about your loss -- you will be in my prayers, Kaldire.

On Humble Bundle, their latest version of QFI is version 1.2 (uploaded Nov 24, 2015).

If you send Blackthorne (one of the two IQ founders) a Private Message on this site and explain your situation, he will likely set you up with the latest version if your DL site doesn't have it or simply hasn't bothered to upload to the most recent version.  IIRC, Steam was REALLY bad about not updating QFI on its site...

Blackthorne (Steve) helps out anyone he can -- he's really cool like that.

from what I remember you can enter through the vine entrance
but only after the alch quest has triggered not before
i know i tested it but atm ive forgotten what needs done, or if you just need to visit him or get the first tag to go there

alch = alchemist   ya know moonshiner..

Thanks for the explanation.

I just tested and was able to use the natural bridge in Act 1 with my Rogue.  Feed the bear the Ham Hock or the Salami, and he goes to sleep, which allows you to exit the screen to the right (behind the hill)...

Also, the title of this thread could be interpreted in a pretty bad way.

Ha!  I thought that same thing just now...   ;)

Angry Splash Mountain Lady strikes again!...  albeit in a not-so-nice article.  The only connection it has to the article is that it's an example of a meme.

Saw this in my local paper's digital USA Today section this morning, and was able to find it online from a couple days ago.  The online article has several other meme examples, but the digital version supplied to our paper only had ASML under the USA Today Sunday "Trending" section.

Quest for Infamy / Re: Game Choice / Design question

Just got a chance to review my old saved games and try different scenarios...

Arrrgh!  My apologies, guys -- I had forgotten the secret aqueduct entrance/exit.  BT and Kaldire are correct; BT & Klytos _did_ think of everything!

I knew the Rogue and Sorcerer could unlock the doors at the top of the aqueduct, but not the Brigand.  However, regardless of class choice, if you wait long enough, Voleris will open the door and makes her rounds up there.  This allows for entry INTO Tyr... so long as you hide from her!

Of course, getting OUT of Tyr was the trick.  Again, I knew the Rogue and Sorcerer could unlock the maintenance door next to the library, but not the Brigand.  After playing again, this remains true for the Brigand... but ONLY for the DAY & DUSK periods!

I had never tried it at Night.  During Day and Dusk, the message says it's locked.  However, at Night, you can force the door open and make your way to the top of the aqueduct!

That was my fault for not exploring more and trying more things.  However, after being denied twice (Day & Dusk), who would have thought it would have worked a third time at Night?  Perhaps a message something along the lines of the following would have been an appropriate hint/guide here for the Brigand during Day and Dusk:

Quote
Sure, you COULD break it down here and now with your mighty strength, but someone might see you!  Why don't you try again later when there are fewer people milling about?

Anyway, thanks for listening, and we can't wait for Roehm to Ruin.  I especially liked the picture you posted to Twitter last week, BT.

Got the most recent issue of PC Gamer magazine this weekend.  Crystal Shard's "Heroine's Quest - The Herald Of Ragnarok" was mentioned in the June 2017 / #292 issue (U.S. version).

Located on page 45 under their "The Top 50 Free Downloads" article, it's #19:
