I like it. Not as much as I like The Orville though.

As someone who started watching the Original Series reruns in the mid-'80s while in high school, then watched all 4 syndicated series to completion (TNG through ENT), the TOS movies, the TNG movies, and even enjoyed the re-booted movies, I have absolutely zero interest in the new Discovery series.

Not sure why...  Just getting old, I suppose.

That, and I'm just too cheap to buy CBS streaming for _one_ show.

I am enjoying the Orville, though.  While it is simply Seth McFarlane's fan-fiction version of TNG, that's certainly not a bad show from which to steal...   ;)

Also nice to see ST actors directing episodes (Robert Duncan McNeill, Jonathan Frakes), as well as ex-ST Scientific Advisor/Consultant Andre Bormanis as an Executive Producer.  And, of course, DS9's Kasidy Yates-Sisko (Penny Johnson Jerald) as the Ship's Doctor...

so far all but one ep was great
and wow seth for the win on anything am I right

so its an anti banana ray... we need never fear the banana
does it do other fruits ? salads?

lol

the turning the baby from female to male episode hit to many pro rights movements but then again that was the point of the original star trek.

I watched the first 3 episodes and I feel like I gave it a sufficient chance to impress me.  It did not.  For me, there's just very little about it that feels like any of the classic Star Trek that I know and love.  It's basically J.J. Abrams Trek: The TV Series.  Cue melancholy foghorn sound effect.  Definitely not worth spending money on.
Lambonius...Rarely has our moderating team encountered a forumite as consistently unpleasant as you, and you've burned through far more chances than you deserved. A person really has to try hard to be so obnoxious that they're banned from AG, but you've managed it and then some.

Episode 4 is very good. Impressive visuals and story. I would say give it a fair shake and some time, as with all trek series started slow and got better as time goes on.  As for paying 6.99 a month yeah that sucks but there is alot of programming available.  I have not watched Orville yet.  Chadly.

I've watched all syndicated series and best liked the one with Scott Bakula. Also watched all S.T. feature length movies. My favorite is where Kirk and crew discover Voyager.
Lynda Carter, Wonder Woman, once sent me autographed photos that put me on cloud nine. The photos are on my living room wall.
