Something overlooked in Arx Fatalis that you can try!

Kill King Lunshire and take his 2 keys. Add them to your keyring if you have it.

When drawing spells in the save mode, draw/save 3 protection from cold spells.

Go to the big wooden gate near the tavern in front of the fortress.

Activate the cold protection spells, than open the big gate.

You still freeze to death. why? Isn't there anything beyond the gate but death from freezing?

Or maybe more freezing protection?

you know you CAN resist that cold, but never go outside, its just there to show you there IS an outside .. nothing more,
if you do resist the cold and no not with that spell, then it just shows a black spot where outside should be

glad you are still invested in that game, it truly rocks

Anyhow, thanks for the catch.

Still finding uses for random keys, where previously I just invested in picklock points and used toolkits.

if you have the points,  free xp for picking locks and pockets

no xp for just using the standard key

so if you pick lock a chest or door, you gain xp and quite a bit of it later on but it doesnt matter as there is a lvl cap.

again my think is object know how, bows, sneaks, etc you get the idea almost nothing in anything else
