Hummel's speaking portrait question
« on: December 17, 2014, 08:19:40 PM »
OK, this one likely goes out to our dear Miss Corrigan:

Been wondering about this for quite some time -- did the American actor Joe Don Baker provide the inspiration for Hummel's speaking portrait?  It's whom I immediately thought of when playing QFI.

Here's a picture:

That's what I thought too and I think BT said that the inspiration was mr Baker and someones' uncle (forgive me for not remembering whose exactly).

I just went through the portrait thread in the private side of the forums and found this nugget from Bt before anything was actually drawn for Hummel.

Yep, DosBoxLetsPlay had asked before; and yes, he's based on Joe Don Baker (a favorite of mine.  I've seen Fletch about 1,000,000 times and he's just part of a great ensemble cast) and an uncle of mine.
