Order of the Thorne : The King's Challenge / [SOLVED] Humble issues?
« on: January 26, 2016, 01:54:20 PM »
So, I went and validated a Humble key link given to me as a backer. The game has been confirmed as purchased, but the game isn't showing up in the library. Anyone else having similar issues?

[Showed up just now!]

Is Linux release of 1.1 coming to GOG as well?

Yep! Our guy is packaging it up and sending it off to them soon!

It requires a bit of technical know-how (like compiling), but the Windows 1.1 Humble files run perfectly with the AGS Linux runtime.

Marmite is fucking horrible. Vegemite is awesome.

That said, anyone who likes one usually hates the other.
Speak for yourself! I like 'em both!

We need a poll on this based on - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pm1qP_y9V9k - which are you?

If only someone could do the AGDI/Himalaya version of KQ3... got a few tracks via SimpleScreenRecorder, but it's going to be a slog.

Quest for Infamy / Re: Achievement for cheater ?

And the game still ran? I've noticed it can get very unstable trying to hack things.

Honestly, any kind of "achievement" for hacking could be done thus: attributes clearly should not be able to go above a certain value (100). So any attribute over 100 could be reset (when detected on game load) to 1.

Quest for Infamy / Linux and QFI.
« on: July 22, 2014, 07:03:19 AM »
QFI was a day-one Linux release, which definitely pleased me (and mucho thanks to the AGS devteam!).

I brought the game on Linux - I count on Steam as a Linux sale. Did anyone else buy the game for Linux primarily? Or played it primarily on Linux?

There must have been a hiccup when copying files over. I'll make it available separately. Sorry about that. Thanks for pointing it out!
No problems. Hope it helps!

First is that there's a .lnk file to the shred rock version of the QFI theme, but no actual MP3.

Second, but not particularly important, is that we're missing some of the smaller jingles (like the death tune(s)).

The mines are awesome. I may even write a bit of a blog about them for you. Maybe. If you're nice. :)

The problem is that once Activision and EA were not entirely evil. Then they grew into what they are now. Growth is inevitable, and it's growth (and the acquisitions that come of/because that growth) that is part of the problem. What would happen if, say, Wadjet Eye Games reached the size of Sierra at its peak - or the size of EA now? Looking at the increasingly EA-like route Zenimax (who have massively expanded in recent years) are taking...
